If it does come to that I hope he finds work with a team that's worthy of him. It was definitely heading towards a very sickening knockout.
Fury should hire him for the rematch

Finally he needs to identify the yes men in his team then fire them starting from his head coach!
The fake outrage in the post-fight press conference by his coach was the real gem.

Instead of being a man, he immediately started deflecting blame on the towel-toss.

That guy couldn’t say no to Wilder if you put a gun to his mothers head. If Wilder has anything left between the ears he’d can that clown for a coach immediately, but instead he’ll can Breland for not letting him get murdered in the ring and hire another yes-man.

Breland did an AMAZING job throwing in the towel. Wilder's intelligence can be questioned his skill set can be questioned his over all abilities can be questioned. His chin and heart are as durable as they come though. He should make Breland the head trainer and work on a game plan for the rematch so a repeat isn't in the cards.

if your employer tells you specifically not to do something, and you do it. its over. period.
props to Breland for getting fired for this.

We all know Breland done the right thing.....

Wilder can recover quickly from this and come back stronger..... he can also claim Fury didn't really "stop" him and retain some semblance of confidence in his own mind.

None of that is possible if Breland didn't stop the fight..... Wilder would have taken even more of a beating and likely have been KO'd or been dropped multiple times and had the ref jumping in.

how can you "underestimate" someone who already beat you 10 rounds to 2 in your first fight?

Lmao exactly. Going by that logic, Butterbean would've straight up murdered every single HW ever and retired as the unbeaten, undisputed ATG.

He's just making even more excuses for a guy who has given plenty of his own already.

Who the hell cannot wear a 40lb weight vest for 20 mins? We're tlking about a guy who just spent his last couple of months training like an animal, but his legs got "wrecked" because of an outfit?

He got demolished by the bigger, better man. If he doesn't accept that by the time his next camp starts, he'll get humiliated once again in their third fight. He may walk in nude, just wearing Tyson's towel; **** won't make any difference.

As an agent, Mr Breland has a fiduciary duty of loyalty, which is to look out for the principal's best interest, which may supercede Mr Wilders instructions.

Mr Breland has a responsibility to care for Mr Wilder, even if Mr Wilder wishes not to care for himself

I’ve actually wondered about this quite a bit. Was the towel actually thrown before the ref stepped in, or did the ref step in and then shortly thereafter realize that the towel was thrown?

I don’t think the ref stepped in because the towel was thrown. I think the towel was thrown right as he was stepping in.
