Don't disagree with anything RJJ says here. One thing I would say is that though Wilder's resume is weak, his power is real. Breazeale is not much of a boxer, but he is a big and durable lump and the way Wilder dispatched him was kind of frightening. So although Fury is a much better boxer than Wilder, there was (and is) always that danger of just getting sparked with a single shot. I think that stands even if the third fight happens. From what we've seen, the power does go if he's exhausted, but that right will remain a danger for anyone, even Fury.

I agree you can say Fury is an ATG solely based on Wilder and an almost over the hill Klitschko. But Fury is the only HW ever to win all major titles including lineal and ring at one point in his career in the HW division. That has to count for something in the record books. If nothing else, the benefit of the doubt that given the chance, he could easily be an ATG.

You could argue that Lennox Lewis is not an ATG cause he got knocked cold twice by average heavyweights, and he only beat 2 good fighters who were way past their prime (Holyfield and Tyson).
Yes he also beat Vitali Klitschko but lets not forget that he was behind on all scorecards when the fight was stopped on cuts.
