However, spreading that weight across your body has the ability to fatigue multiple muscle groups if held long enough. Now spreading it out but concentrating it in your legs and then standing and walking for over 15 mins and then starting a 12 rd fought is another matter entirely
      Onto my next question.

Are you a professional fighter or is Carl Froch?

I never said it was a valid excuse, in my first post in this thread i said it was ****** and Wilder would have lost anyway. But that doesn't change the fact that wearing the equivalent of a weighted vest which is 1/5 of your bodyweight for 15 - 20 mins and then walking 100ft - 200ft is going to kill your stamina. That's all I'm saying.

Lol...I'm not a pro fighter, Carl Froch of course is. However, I would consider myself a student of science. I can promise if you ask any scientist if the feat i suggested, woukd cause a huge loss in stamina, they will say yes. It's just physics and thermodynamics

My four year old weighs 45lb/20kg. I sometimes lift him up, put him on my shoulders and walk around with him for a prolonged period of time. The worst it gives me is a pain in the neck and shoulders. That’s me, a couch potato who doesn’t train for a living. For Wilder (a professional world champion heavyweight) to say 45lb on his back caused him to go weak in his legs is easily the dumbest, lamest excuse I’ve ever heard in sports.

Please stop defending Wilder. He threw 20 excuses at the wall to see what sticks and you suckers bought one.

besides he seemed fine in the beginning until he started receiving punishment,
                  don't buy it at all

That’s a 10kg barbell in each hand, that should be nothing for the average man let alone a 6’7 230 pound athlete.

It’s a pathetic excuse, he walked for 10 minutes to the ring with it, you’re acting like he fought in the damn thing.

You're referring to one or a few reps, which could be done in a min or less. However, imagine lifting 10kg dumbbells in each hand for 15 - 20 mins and then starting a 12 rd fight. Yes, lifting 10kg dumbells is easy. It's the 12 rd fight part that's gets way harder when you've been lifting dumbbells for 15 - 20 mins. Furthermore, you compared what he did to lifting dumbells, but it would be more accurate to compare it squats or simply wearing a weight vests since the weight was concentrated in the traps and legs. Now are you saying you could easily wear 1/5 of your bodyweight in a weighted vest for 15 - 20, with no breaks, walk 100ft - 200ft and then start a fight with little significant loss of stamina? Because basically impossible for that to be true for any human on the planet.

Yes and the video actually proves my point. He trains in a 40 pound vest because it provides enough strain on his body to force it to be stronger so he is closer to peak strength and condition. Any weight capable of putting that kind strain on your body is going to take away from your stamina. And it would be silly for a boxer to get a significant workout in before major fight, which he likely did by where 45 pounds for 15 - 20 mins and walking 100ft - 200ft.
