That sounds like pure Marine bragging BS unless they have a few days to cover the 9 miles. Marines are tough but not supermen.

I seriously doubt you've hauled 45+ lbs around for 25+ minutes and even if you have fine, you're not a professional boxer. They're not trained in the same manner that others are training to either bulk up in muscle mass or haul weight around for long periods of time, believe it or not, you don't need to be a muscular ape to beat people up. I think its obvious that some people here haven't actually worked out a day in their life this is why their reaction is the one they're displaying.

Wilder in my opinion made a huge f up and he is paying the price, its his own fault.

I workout too and am very comfortable moving around 45 pounds whether for bicep curls or whatever. But are you really saying you could do all the heavy lifting you're talking about for 15 - 20 mins, mainly having the weight concentrated in your legs and traps, walk 100ft - 200ft right before 12 round fight and it wouldn't have any significant effect on your stamina for the fight? As in each round requires a huge amount more stamina than the feat in question since it is reasonable to expect a significant amount of stamina to be lost during each round. Btw, this could only be true if the body was doing many many times more work (perhaps 10x) each round than the feat suggested. I'm asking honestly but i hope you know that it is a physical impossibility both from a physics and thermodynamics perspective that each round could be around 10x the work of the feat in question.

I think it’s obvious that you’re a little dude who is trying to crack the case wide open! because that’s exciting stuff. You’re barking up the wrong tree here though.

This dude has never likely done any cardio heavy work that and workout. It's Wilders fault he choose to wear the gear, but it doesn't make his excuse invalid just because some random guy on a forum said he can lift 45lbs easily.

45 pounds is really not that heavy, that’s the equivalent of 20kg!

That’s a 10kg barbell in each hand, that should be nothing for the average man let alone a 6’7 230 pound athlete.

It’s a pathetic excuse, he walked for 10 minutes to the ring with it, you’re acting like he fought in the damn thing.

I'm 210 pounds, 6ft. Not a big at all. Curling 45 pounds is nothing, especially since the weight concentrated in the biceps, which is hardly involved in walking. However, spreading that weight across your body has the ability to fatigue multiple muscle groups if held long enough. Now spreading it out but concentrating it in your legs and then standing and walking for over 15 mins and then starting a 12 rd fought is another matter entirely
