That "costume" really doesn't look that heavy at all. Even if it did weigh that much he's a freaking HEAVYWEIGHT. How are you supposed to say that a measly 45 lb outfit over a 230 lb guy made you perform worse without making yourself look foolish and weak? Another reason why this costume excuse is so laughably bad.

Maybe Fury should wear a 45 lb costume in the rematch and see if it affects his performance.

Even if it was, you get 17 year old girls running and carrying heavier bags than that in part time military school exercises

Even if it did, check this out.

I am sure Wilder in his post fight interview mentioned something about about a possible injury of some sort in his legs during training camp. The reality is that after the second round Wilder looked gassed and didn’t have his balance. It may have been caused by a punch but something didn’t seem right. I think Fury is the superior fighter but Wilder was off.

Those sort need to be trained through a long period of time to do that, you either train with weighted gear or you don't. Even a fit person who just slaps 100lbs of gear on and decides to go a jog, I mean you try it and tell me how you feel.

The only hard pill I find to swallow is that its not like Wilder was running about with all that weight, I'm trying to be fair in this because I've never done weighted training before. I'll also put this out here that most boxers have skinny legs and Wilder most certainly does, maybe it did play a bit of an effect on him. Maybe if you grab two 20kg plates one hand each and walk for 20-30 minutes and then tell me how you feel. I reckon that could be tiresome especially for a guy that isn't really squatting regularly.

I know tall people tend to have skinnier legs, but look at them they're like pins.

Honestly, the way he was moving particularly when he stepped over the top rope and got into the ring indicated that it was heavy.

I don't know. It looked heavy but hey, that was his choice. Idiot. At least get carried to the ring in that outfit FFS!
