On here, anything within 12 pts is close apparently 🤦*♂️

that’s some mickey mouse sht if you ask me but things are more loose here. You get reminders too when you forget to submit.

All three judges unanimously picks one fighter yet that’s not wide? Umm kay i guess this here is really a friendly competition that’s geared towards the amateurs.

I did get the backyard, softball game vibe around here and i was right.

I cant this comp seriously anymore for more reasons than one.

It feels more like an elementary school over University with all these loose , funny ass rules.

You might have a point, no pun intended.

Perhaps we could establish a third way between "close" and "wide", or just indicate a point range (example: 2-6 pts, 7-12 pts, 12+ pts).

                What do you guys think?

Because one card wasn't 8 - 4,man. It happens. We lower the threshold and I'm gonna guarantee you we get folk asking 'how the eff is 115 - 113 twice and 111 - 117 'WIDE''?

The only real argument that can be made is that it may be slightly unbalanced - ie, you're statistically more likely to hit a W by picking CLOSE than WIDE if it's a coin toss, but I'll have to look over the results from previous years and see how the numbers crunch. If that is the case then I am willing to look at making a slight change though I'd very much prefer to make any changes at the end of the year rather than part way through.

I've been quietly mooting the idea of a change to having 3 DEC picks for the last 2 seasons, man, but there ain't been a great deal of interest so far.

My thought was to have a CLOSE (0-5) CLEAR (6-17) and WIDE (18+) or something similar and to incorporate DRAWs into the CLOSE pick (ie whilst it would still be possible to actually pick a DRAW result for big points anyone who picked DEC CLOSE for either fighter would still score for method and detail (total 20pts) in the event that the fight was drawn).

Can you explain where the bias is, please? Are you making the claim that a particular group of players or individuals benefit in some way from the rules and scoring thresholds being structured as they are? That there isn't a level playing field here?
