Problem for him was that Fury brought the fight to him, and he had few answers for that. Then he got hurt, and his performance went from losing to atrocious.

He could’ve fought Joshua again but he chose not to. I’ve said many times that Whyte is just a bum with a mouth but even I can admit that’s not true. But he’s nothing special. Maybe he deserves a shot but you know how boxing works. You have to be on the right side of the politics or someone like Canelo or Floyd. It’s how boxing works. We don’t like it but it’s the truth.

IF wilder is going to compete with that version of fury then his in fighting game, head movement, strength and conditioning, will have to improve.....and wilder will have to make use of the full punch arsenal....the left hook will have to be used as an offensive weapon, even the 1-3 combination....can you imagine if wilder threw 1-3-2 combos? The uppercut will have to be used on the inside as well.

Fury gave Wilder respect the first time and boxed cautiously because Wilder was an unknown quantity known for his massive power. Seems like what he saw over that 12 rounds lead him to believe he could just walk through Wilder this time, which seems telling, because Fury rarely does that to anybody.
As for Whyte, hes a bit of a tit and I feel like hes had some luck on his side (Parker fight and the first Chisora fight could have gone either way) but hes a funny guy sometimes and hes been fighting some pretty tough competition. In fact I think hes actually faced more top 10 level HWs than Wilder at this point. It'd be a good fight.

I dont think WIlder was improved he was easier to beat. Too big, so too slow to get out of way of Furys kronk power.

But I say again who is Dillian Whyte? He’s been beat up. He’s struggled with lesser opposition. He’s came into fights out of shape. He’s turned down opportunities to get title shots. What’s so great about this guy really. However match up style I think Whyte at his best could compete with Wilder. But he hasn’t proved anything up to this point.
But as I said...he does lose to Wilder IMO.
