Comments Thread For: Fury: Wilder Was Definitely An Improved Fighter In Rematch

LAS VEGAS The result might not have indicated it, but Tyson Fury feels he faced an improved Deontay Wilder on Saturday night. Their WBC heavyweight championship rematch wasn't nearly as competitive as their first fight 14 months earlier. Fury still acknowledged afterward that Wilder was better in some ways than when they fought to a controversial split draw in December 2018 at Staples Center in Los Angeles.

It almost sounds like passive smack talking. Funny, the next story down is one with Wilder saying how dirty Fury was and how the ref was helping Fury out.
    How the excuses continue!

Dillian Whyte's reaction is the same reaction a lot of fans have had to his excuses. The guy is the internet joke today.

I actually see where he is coming from. Wilder did appear to use the jab effectively until the war knockdown....after that it was all haymakers. Wilder simply may not be able
To beat a version of fury who has 40-50 lbs on him and uses that weight offensively. Wilder may simply be too small much in the same way Evander was just too small for Lennox who knew how to fight y’all and use his size to clinch. Wilder still has unforgivable flaws though and until (if) he addresses the extreme flaws in his game he just won’t be a threat to the bigger men anymore.

The excuses are lame but there’s probably some truth to it. But you have to take that with you to your grave. People don’t want to hear that sh.it. But I say again who is Dillian Whyte? He’s been beat up. He’s struggled with lesser opposition. He’s came into fights out of shape. He’s turned down opportunities to get title shots. What’s so great about this guy really. However match up style I think Whyte at his best could compete with Wilder. But he hasn’t proved anything up to this point.

Dillian Whyte has a better resume than Wilder. Wilder has ducked him for years. That's who Dillian Whyte is.

Absolutely justified after Wilder’s ridiculous excuses. I know he showed heart in the ring, but he’s been nothing but a total s h i t house since.
