Before the Klitschko fight Fury hadn't really shown much in his career to date that he would be able to handle Klitschko's experience and power. He was a 5-1 dog and ended up outboxing Klitschko in a shut out.
Fast forward 3 years and nothing in the 2 tune ups Fury had suggested that he was ready for Wilder. Again practically a shutout when you take out the 2 knockdowns.
And for the rematch no one expected it to be a one sided beating the way it did. He again showed us something that we'd never seen before in his career. He turned into a power punching monster overnight.
Even though I picked Fury in all 3 of these fights I acknowledge that there was no real evidence that I was basing it on. I just like Fury as a personality and hoped that he had that special something in him to be a great fighter and he proved me right.
