Morales did get the first couople of rounds in their last fight. But Manny was landing harder punches early.

For people that are saying he's going to fight Barrera or Marquez, I don't see any of those 2 stepping in with him. I have lost hope in Barrera, for years I kept saying he'll fight, but now it's over.

I hope Juarez whoops Barrera so we can see Pacquiao-Juarez.

i hope pac does not fight until he's into his 30's that's an old age for featherweights especially for a man who started fighting at minimumweight

He has three losses on his record. He has lost... or did you all forget about Pac - EM I?

That's a bunch of bull****. MAB was coming off wins against Morales, Tapia, and Kelley, then he gets destroyed by Pac and suddenly he isn't in his prime anymore, despite being the favorite to win. He then goes on to win his next five fights. He doesn't fight the same way, because he IS older, but he was also at higher weights when Manny was younger, and Manny has only recently really settled into himself. Before he was all 1-2 1-2 1-2, but now he has a much better variety of punches.

With his record standing at 42-3 including wins over Barerra, and Morales, and a draw with Marquez, and a possible second win over Morales coming up, he's already achieved the status of greatness. He can't move up in weight forever; he's already moved up, what, five weight classes? If he beats Morales again, then takes the winner of Barerra - Juarez, or even just beats Juarez, and then maybe takes on Marquez again and wins then he absolutely has his greatness solidified.

Floyd has four world-class fighters on his list. Zab (he was at one time, and when he comes in ready to fight he still is a force), JLC, Coralles, and Chavez. Why should Floyd be given any more credit for beating those guys, and Pacquiao not given credit for beating just as many good fighters? Aside from that, people STILL say that Floyd has a way to go.

I do not think Pac gonna retire anytime soon, he will retire the **** out of Morales first and will align the alphabets accordingly.

Prime opponents? Nopes! HYPED is the right word. Pacman fight p4p fighters only and not HYPED opponents. Yeah HYPE fighters which won't give him stature or money.

So shut the **** up "xcarriot the idiot".

Regarding the post that started this thread..yes, often fighters who talk of retirement begin to set their sights past the ring, take one step outside of it, and suffer for it. I don't think that will happen to Manny. If he losses because of his plans to go out on top, he'll just dust himself off and refocus, win a big fight or two with his new enthusiasm and still go out on top. He's a fistey little guy like that.
