It's very subtle, but you can see Bayless turning his head very slightly towards the towel and then jumping in to stop the fight. Before then camera doesn't show his eyes as he is looking at the boxers. Then he turns his head slightly so that we can see the socket of his right eye, and then he jumps in to stop the fight. I think he was thinking of stopping the fight (you can tell by how he was going towards the boxers and back), but the towel triggered him to stop it.

What pro wilder nut huggers did boxing scene pull off the street to write this? Riddle me this, how are you still going to write that bayless “allowed an behind the head shot” that knocked wilder down, when replays CLEARLY show it was on the ear. Which is a legal punch btw. I seriously bet this dude who wrote this cried himself to sleep Saturday night.

if fury would have been slightly hurt POS Bayless would have stopped it. he let wider get beaten bad hoping he might hurt fury so he could stop it

              Shameful stuff from Keith Idec.

Writing that the shot could be viewed as a rabbit punch is one thing, writing it as if it's a fact is shameful. Looping shots around the guard land on and behind the ear regularly in boxing. Keith knows this.

              Boo this man!

Rabbit punch? Bayless ‘allowed’ the count? What absolute BS did I just read?

You only had to look at Bayless's demeanor when the fight was over and Wilder had lost. He was not happy.

That's one of the home town negatives. Like Linares v Mitchell, they'll let the homie take a savage beating trying to give him the edge.
