he's the best right now.
Fury's resume is not that impressive

Chisora has 9 losses already in his career and is ranked the #717 Heavyweight of all-time. His ranking is similar to Frans Botha, but no one is giving that as a quality win for Mike Tyson.Comment

But who did Chisora lose to? He lost to a lot of top guys. Fury twice, Vitali, Haye, Whyte twice, Pulev, also a few SD losses there too which are sometimes iffy. Either way, Chisora is better than anybody on Wilder's resume, except Fury and maybe OrtizComment

The question is can he be praised without going over the top and just being ridiculous about it?Comment

Not top 10 of all time, but without a doubt the best guy in division right now.
If I was heavyweight boxing champ, I would be f.ucking scared of Fury. This guy comes to your homeyard , beats you and takes your belts.Comment

I agree that if you go through his entire history of fights it's average or even below average, and he's even struggled in some of those. People forget that he genuinely ducked David Price back when it looked like Price might be a real threat as well. However, all that said, his two best wins against Wilder and Klitschko are so good that they eclipse all that, and arguably eclipse everyone else's best achievements at the weight right now. There's a clear divide between his career pre and post 2014 or so - back when he was on the UK domestic scene there weren't that many who would have picked him to become a worldbeater, the general perception was that he was just big without being skilled enough to really hack it on the world stage so long as the Klitschkos were still around, but he made massive improvements to his game just before he really arrived at world level. You can't look past the eye test as well - if he performs like he did on Saturday night, who would you pick to beat him? There's nobody who I'd pick right now and not that many I'd pick even out of all the great heavyweights of yore.Comment
