I assume it was for the holding/headlocks because he gave Fury a warning the previous round and said he would start taking points if it continued.

I still didn't expect him to, mostly because these days refs will give 30 ****ing warnings

But still."I want the fight to be clean at all times, protect yourself at all times and what I say you must obey Touch up." Is still the best referee instructions though
If it wasn’t wilder he wouldve stopped the fight earlier. I saw him stop fights that didn’t had much beating compare to that.

I always hated bayless though since hes the kind of ref that wouldn’t allow inside fighting.. some fighter just have that style..
Like floyd-maidans, everytime they come close he breaks it wtf... you have to break it only when they’re tied badly.. let them work off clinches.

From what I've read it was for punching on the break, as there wasn't even a headlock at that moment, just a borderline late punch. It was at 31 seconds of the 5th, check for yourself it's at the 22:20 mark:

Either way though it was bs and done when Wilder was in trouble after the second knockdown which is unheard of. He basically gave him a breather and negated the kd for a foul no one can even identify.

Glad to see I’m not the only one who thought that point deduction was odd

Paid pbc shill. Fury should veto him for the rematch, Bayless was itching to dq him.

He denied Fury 2 points in a single round. He didn't count the 3rd kd when Wilder went crashing into the ropes then was quick to deduct a point and interrupt the action while Wilder was badly hurt which could have denied him another kd.

He was subconsciously helping Wilder for sure, you cant hide these things in such a public setting

When refs do the job they are supposed to, posters complain. When refs don’t do the job, people complain.

As always posters make much ado about nothing solely so they can create the false narrative that PBC is somehow bad for the sport.

Fury should’ve had another knockdown, i think in the 5th. He clipped Wilder with a short punch and Wilder went flying across the ring and held up by the ropes. I think it was just after the body shot knockdown.

But really, i don’t think he did a terrible job like some do. The point deduction without a warning was wrong though but overall i’ve seen worse. That said, it was just a domination that not even the ref could change.

He was keeping an eye out for Wilder, but it wasn't that bad, Wilder got stopped anyway, moot point.
