He really couldnt. He knows there is replays. He has to be discrete. We seen Bayless do some shady shlt in the ring. But he also has to protect himself at all times also.

Taking a point away. In that fight was premature. And it showed his favoritism.
although....He did tell Wilder in the opening of the 7th that he had to show him someting...Warning Wilder he was gonna stop the fight.

OP must have missed numerous fights where Bayless was a disgrace in his bias, Mayweather vs Maidana 2 was hilarious, he was petrified anytime Maidana got close enough to throw, and literally sprinted across the ring to separate them when they were in the clinch.

no no no. Wilder was also given shots to the back of the head. No way he could take a point from one and not the other. But what he could do is what everyone thought would happen. Fury was gonna use his size and weight in the clinch. Everyone knew this. Even Bayless. Thats was gonna be a sure factor in this fight...and was. And what did Bayless do? Without even a warning or two as they are usually given...he take a point from fury. Bayless isnt new to this. And neither are the die hard fans. As soon as it was announced he was the ref...Look at the reaction people gave. They new it wasnt gonna be good for Fury. He would wave off a fight premature. deduct points or DQ. HEs been involved in this many times

It's pretty much confirmed now it was for punching on the break. There wasn't even a headlock at the time of the deduction.

Except that's not what the deduction was for, it was for punching on the break.

He basically tried to hold Wilder up and then got out of the way realizing that he can't be that obvious but then also didn't rule an obvious knockdown as he fell into the ropes.

I didn't like the fact that he was breaking them apart as soon as they got close to each other but, I don't know, I just think some refs let the boxers fight in the clinch and others don't. I don't think there is anything underhanded going on with it.
