Wilder needs to work on fighting off the back foot and work on his defence more. I don't know if he can make those adjustments at 35 yrs of age, and his trainer is very limited as well. Just look at the way his trainer gave him instructions in the corner. They are not organised and prepared.

There is nothing his trainer could say, Wilder doesn’t listen, Wilder had fell in love with his power, apart from the boxing guy in his corner who recognised he was done, none of his team members think he was, they were as delusional as his fanatics who thinks he still has the equaliser, fact was he nailed Fury with the right and nothing happened, his punches became less powerful as the fight went on, Breland knew that, and he was shipping damages, he saved him for the rematch, a fight that would be more important than this one for Wilder.

He doesnt. Wilder is at the end of his career. Hes 35. He might take the rematch and cash out. Hes made the most out of his limited ability. Hes done himself proud.

Even if he makes the adjustments, he would be in the ring with a boxer who has a good ring IQ, he has never faced anyone like this coming up. The fact that he never fought a puncher, never fought on the back foot coming up etc didn’t help, he didn’t really know what to do in there.

He was walked down from the first bell, I actually felt sorry for him after the 5th round, because even at that point he knew his reliable right hand wouldn’t save him in that fight, this is why he talked about going out on his shield.

Take some boxing lessons and fight lesser opposition until a cashout.

This thread reminds me of a lot of threads after ruiz beat aj

Fury beat wilder badly last night which was not what i expected. Wilder has flaws as we all know but i still think if he is motivated he can beat everybody but fury.

Id say he should fight a journeyman next and then take on a guy like parker or kownacki

Way too late for him to change his game. His game is still extremely effective against pretty much anyone not named Fury. Joshua has the goods to beat him too but the mental game too since the Ruiz fights? Question mark there.

He was badly beaten, Fury dominated him every round and was bullying him, you only needed to look at Wilders face to see he was a broken man in there. What does this bad beaten do for him psychologically? We saw Joshua come back from adversity, can Wilder do the same?

I agree, some sound fundamentals from fury really made Wilder give up. He doesn't know how to box. Couldn't believe how one sided it was, the ref was trying to save his ass too. Taking points away with no warning, giving him time to recover. Wilder can't box
