Ppv numbers

I'd argue if you love the sport you should be hoping it flops. We as boxing fans finally have an alternative in DAZN. If Wilder had accepted their 100M offer we would have seen Joshua Vs Wilder plus two Canelo fights this year for 99$.
DAZN has disrupted the boxing market in the U.S. The sooner PPV dies the better. Do you really want boxing in the U.S to follow the UFC's lead, any fight worth a damn is placed on PPV? A monthly PPV. That's the PBC's vision.
Anyway, I expect this to sell between 500-650k PPVs. I won't believe any numbers unless they're official from Fox or ESPN, I can already see the tweets that have coined terms like "tracking/trending towards..."Comment

It's booming here in Vegas. The sketchy hotels that are $60 for the night or $30 for an hour are bumped up to $150 for the night or $80 for an hour with a free box of condoms & a coupon for 20% off a STI test.Comment

This is a fight thats worthy of PPV. 2 Undefeated heavyweights rematching after an amazing drama filled first fight. There is alot of PPV's to complain about that are shams but this is legit.Comment

I believe it... sad but probably true. I forgot you were in Vegas Panda. Wonder what kinda ticket prices the scalpers are charging in the front of the house?Comment

This fight does at least a million buys or more. I haven't seen this much buzz and excitement over a Heavyweight title bout in America in 20 years.
For Wilder not only a win over Tyson Fury retains his WBC title belt but it also could potentially win him over the casual fans too; Especially if he wins by way of knockout.
It would easily help catapult his career into a whole different stratosphere. He'll reach mainstream, box office and crossover global superstar status.Comment

I just can't justify 80$ for Fury Vs Wilder. Neither of them are big draws. If it was a true mega fight like Mayweather Vs. Oscar or Pacquiao then yes, I'd agree with you.
I honestly can't say this fight is bigger or has more hype than the Joshua Vs Ruiz rematch and that was available for 20$.Comment

No clue. I'm too c#cky to sit in the $300 rafter seats & I'm still too broke to get the 1k+ good seats.
I'm a balla at the Sam's Town events doe lol. Good Shobox Sam's Town event next week btw. May go to that one.Comment

I don’t know what this is going to do, but I’ve had more people reach out to me about this fight and planning to watch it — we went from me going to a local sports bar to now having like six — than any in recent memory. People asking where they can watch it, people I’ve known for years who are complete casuals (at best) who have reached out to ask me about it and are watching it.
There’s real buzz around a heavyweight fight again, and that’s a good thing.Comment
