When talking about great fighters, why is it you can’t say such-and-such lesser fighter reminds you of that fighter without people getting bent out of shape? Larry Donald reminded me a bit of Muhammad Ali, physically and stylistically. So what? I recognize that they’re on vastly different levels. But there’s still some spark of similarity and that’s all “reminds me of” has to mean.

you need to understand that many Canelo fans don't really know boxing. All they know is canelo. Of course plant isn't just like mayweather, nobody is, but there are certain similarities such as the fact that he is a reactionary fighter. Meaning he can quickly land punches when there's an opening and move away. He's a quick triggered fighter. He also has good movement so like Floyd, he wouldn't be a stationary target for Canelo. These simpleton fools can't put that together. Probably never boxed a day in their lives.

1. Was the comparison of plant to Canelo or plant to mayweather? So your argument about what you think Canelo does better is pointless because that wasn't what was being discussed. 2. Yes, Canelo himself has tried to mimic Floyd defensively after getting school by him. But offensively both plant and mayweather are more athletic than Canelo and can move their feet in and out offensively and use their feet defensively. Canelo is more flat footed and tries to avoid pumches in the pocket. Nice try pretending that you know boxing. Try again.
