20 lbs of muscle gain will slow you down more than a 20 lbs gain of fat+muscle+water weight. Not that I expect it to happen, but the probability of Wider tiring is higher than Fury's if you only look at the weight aspect, but there are aspects as well that we won't know till tonight.

Wilder looks very muscular and he's lean even with the added weight. I'm curious to see his legs, if they are bigger now.
Fury looks really big, but I'm not sure if that added weight is "all muscle".
That said, they are both very tall. They both are taller than Carnera, who used to be at about 120kg in his prime.Comment

Most boxing fans want to seeing Wilder coming in weighing what he did when he was only 17 years old. What 6'7, 34 year old grown ass man come to a heavyweight championship bout weighing under 210 lbs?
231 lbs is a good weight for him. He'll be a lot stronger and have a lot more stamina than usual. I thought he appeared more fatigued, weak and over trained than usual for their first bout on Dec 2018; Especially in the later rounds when he weighed only 212 lbs.
Moreover, Fury appeared the stronger and more energetic of the two going down the stretch in the championship rounds.Comment

When he gets stopped, you'll be the first person to say 'oh but Fury came in overweight'. Lol.
Wilder looks like 231lbs of steel in comparison.Comment

A 270lbs guy carrying a spare tyre around his waist is going to tire more quickly than a lean 231lbs guy that's not jittering all over the place trying to avoid shots.Comment

Personally, I don't believe that Fury really trained hard for this fight or at all for fear of reopening those cuts over his eye. Which is why he is 273 lbs. He may be underestimating Deontay Wilder just a bit.
Sure, he did a lot of strength and cardio exercises. However, I don't believe he spent enough time in the the boxing ring sparring or getting hit by other fighters; Especially to the face or worked on putting in enough rounds in order to help build up his stamina and mobility.
Therefore and because of it, I believe that both his conditioning and timing shall suffer as a result of it. He is getting stopped or knocked out early by the "The Bronze Bomber" Deontay Wilder.Comment

Both the fights you're talking about, Wilder was leading on the score cards and won by KO. That was also a very long time ago, and he wasnt as muscular as he was yesterday. Also, please explaine to me how Wilder got his head boxed off.Comment

Fury has been speaking of coming in at 270ish for ages.
Wilder putting that weight on seems to be a reaction to Fury’s weight gain that he’s been open about.
Wilder is dancing to Fury’s tune.Comment

I think he just has the superior engine in pretty much any fight.
I don’t think the weight of either guy is as big an issue as people are making it out to be. Neither guy expend huge amounts of energy in the ring, so they’re coming in where they feel strong.Comment
