No, Fury and his dad are stuck in denial mode.
They will forever be the Lineal Champions...
...of cheap hookers and *******.
Not trashing Tyson. He can box his ass off on the day and no fear of the opponent even after the knockout.Comment

I totally ignore that lineal champion talk nonsense. Fury walked away from boxing, so whatever title he had, that’s it. When a boxer retires, he isn’t the champion of anything anymore period. With that being said, there are so many bogus titles and belts, it’s utterly ridiculous. Can’t keep track of all of them. Remember when it was just the WBA & WBC but then they added the IBF and then came the IBO and than came the WBO, or maybe the WBO before the IBO, see what I’m talking about, I lost track already, LOL!!!!!!Comment

Gtfoh.
Why should the loser fall to 3 behind AJ, who was brutally stopped 2 fights ago? His win over Ruiz in the rematch wasn't some dominant statement, and pushing the loser of this fight below him when neither have lost to AJ is ******ed in it's own right.
It will still be 1 and 2, it will just mean that the 1 is undisputed king of the division at that point.

I know you weren't asking me specifically, and I'm not sure I understand the question but I'll see if I can answer it. As I said in a previous post, the Ring Magazine belt is the only legitimate lineal title recognized in boxing since 1922. After shutting down for a few years, the Ring was purchased by De La Hoya, and the rules of being awarded the lineal title had changed. Slowly every division lost its previous lineage under the old Ring rules, and new lineages were created under the new rules. Most recent, the only lineal title that was from the old Ring days that was still existing was tied to the Middleweight WBC champion which could be traced passed Hopkins. Cotto took that lineage from Matinez. Cotto then lost the lineage to Canelo. The lineage was then broken when Canelo refused to fight GGG and vacated the WBC title. At the time, it was the only division that still had a true lineage under the older more stringent rules of Ring Magazine. Now there are no lineages in any division that extend beyond De La Hoyas purchase of the Ring Magazine, but the Ring title is still being won under the new rules.
Right now Heavyweight, Cruiserweight, light heavyweight is vacant.
Super Middleweight- Callum Smith
Middle Weight - Canelo
Junior Middleweight and Welterweight are vacant.
Junior Welterweight-Taylor
Lightweight- lomachenko
Junior lightweight, featherweight, junior Featherweight, vacant.
