I think the comparison was drawn because Ali-Frazier was 49 years ago. It’s a nice boxing has come full circle way of looking at it. To be fair this fight does feel big. There is electricity in the air that isn’t always there.

Klitschko vs AJ was far bigger then this so much they were able to air it twice live and on HBO rebroadcast which did huge numbers still to cater to the time zone differences ,that fight was a huge globally .This is a good fight but it’s not AJ vs Wlad was ,I think that was the best modern day fight we got.

Of course they have to build it and try to make it bigger then it is. If it’s exciting one then maybe a third fight will be a bit closer to what they wish it to be .
