So we are supporting Diva mode now because its toward GDP and Canelo?

Well, are we? A lot of threads are being made that its good for Canelo's and GDP's offer being turned down so that they would make more. Well **** that, if they are getting offered 7 mil+ heck the 5 million+ that GDP offered to Sergey why on earth should GDP over pay considering that 5 million alone is already over paying.

A lot of these guys that Canelo offered with the exception of Sergey Kovalev and Daniel Jacobs had little to no fans, and should not deserve 7 million+ but it's Canelo's fault now that he can't make a fight.

So are we supporting Divas in boxing just because it is towards a fighter that the public doesn't like?

It shows when someone actually looks at things honestly, without fanboi bias you come to realizations such as yours that made you think because you realized how ugly blind haterdom truly is.

Boxing fans are the most tribalistic, entitled divas themselves so its no surprise these fighters are acting the way they do.

Fighters & promoters alike read these threads too, they know how hated Canelo(& to lesser extent others) is by many,so they feed off that.

That’s how it goes on here man..... Saunders and Smith can continue to languish in obscurity for all I care.

I’m not a fan of greedy B-sides and never will be, they need to be more willing to take the risk by beating the star fighter and reap the rewards afterwards. These guys want retirement money before achieving anything.

It’s their right to try and do this but as fans we shouldn’t be on their side.

It’s sad but that’s the reality over the last 3 years. All these B-sides acting like divas and the fans blaming the A-side. Mayweather had to give in as the B-side, his opponents had to give in as the B-side. And if they don’t they get laughed at.

Now we have the lowball offer crew, we heard Smith and BJS crying about not being picked by Canelo for months on end, they get offered the fight now and it’s a lowball offer, how about forget the money, take the fight and knock Canelo off his bum. The only way I would back BJS Or Smith is if they didn’t like dehydration clause or options on their future fights etc

Now that I think about it, this is all DAZNs fault. Not because Jacobs and Kovalev got what they got, I think it’s their fault because of that whole “acceptable” opponent bs they had canelo go through when he wanted to make his prior fight which ultimately ended up being Kovalev... think about it, canelos contract is guaranteed by DAZN, so in reality, canelo could give two sh.it’s in financial terms about who he fights... he will make the same amount of money if he fights ggg, or callum, or bjs, as he would if he fought joe the butcher from 16th street... so who is the real victim of conflict in this situation? It’s DAZN, Hearn knows this, Hearn knows that DAZN wants to drive subscriptions, he also knows canelos money is guaranteed, and that’s why he has his fighters rejecting the offers... because if DAZN wants to put on a good opponent, it’s in their interest and not canelos to pay up... that’s the issue here. Hearn, and Haymon for that matter, are all aware of this and are playing hard ball... canelo Im sure would fight anyone, he is sitting in a good position, it’s DAZN that needs to pay up to what the opponent is wanting. Either that, or pay less for a lesser opponent and get less subscriptions.

Exactly. Floyd gave in to every demand Oscar had, took the fight, and won. The money came after. That's what these guys don't understand. The money is gonna come after you beat the Superstar. It starts with a rematch.

Difference is, Floyd was confident he could be Oscar. I'm starting to think a lot of these fighters aren't as confident as they claim to be. They see the Canelo fight as a cash out opportunity, rather than the next step in their quest for greatness. Say what you want about Floyd, but he wanted to be great. That seems to be missing from boxing these day.

That’s how I feel. If they were confident about themselves they would take the fight beat Canelo and then double or triple their pay in rematch

They all know Canelo will whip them so they want to cash out first.

Maybe Canelo and GBP should just make an acceptable offer. That would solve everything.
