What the heck, everyone talks about wanting to fight Canelo and then the fight is offered and all these guys are like" it's not the right time" or I want more money. Smith, Saunders, Plant, now don't want to fight? Unbelievable. I see what's plant saying about a quick turnaround but in comparison to Kovalev, Plant had it pretty easy with a punching bag last night, were Krusher had a tuff fight before Canelo, so there's no comparison. When these types of opportunities come up you must take it.

Man, you don't freeze out Canelo. He is a one man force. Heck, look at the majority of the posts here (by the boxing community) and they defend him. Thats not even taking into account the access media, where he has ties to the bigger boxing focused organizations; as Plant said "Canelo controls the narrative."

Moreover, he has enough die hard fans that he can fight whomever he wants and still make millions and be lauded for doing so.

There is no demand for canelo to fight plant now and won't be one later. He was a last minute replacement who got a lottery ticket because canelo wants to grab a world title at 168 in May. If he grabs one from someone else he will never need or want to fight plant again or get a big payday like this. Canelo will make at minimum 35 million no matter who he fights. Plant needs canelo not the other way around.
