What a weak excuse. You're 27 years old, in your physical prime and you think a 3 month break between a fight is not long enough? We're talking about the biggest star in the sport that can raise your profile ten fold. Blatant duck, he knows he can't beat Canelo, his team know he can't beat Canelo.

It appears PBC is not willing to risk losing an asset to a rival platform. They need to provide PPV level fights for FOX, they can't risk losing the 0 of the few almost stars they have.

These fighters these days(& fans defending their bs) are lil pssies. Korobov took the Charlo fight on a weeks notice,Ruiz took AJ fight on weeks notice,etc. Yet these duckers wanna act like they didn't already know Canelo always fights on Cinco de Mayo & September the 2 biggest days in boxing of the yr,it should be plenty of time to have several months after destroying a very low level fighter ffs,& Plant had no business letting his Opponent survive til 10th rd anyways. Hes the lame duck that could've ended it after the first few rds if he only flurried, but he continued acting worried that his low level opponent would get lucky.

Hes just 1 more pbc nut who will likely fight some bum next right around that time anyways for peanuts,or worse even he might fight someone just as dangerous on paper as Canelo for peanuts in Benevidez rather than millions for Canelo.

Everyone on NSB acknowledged Kovalev fighting Canelo, agreeing, before the Yarde fight happened. Everyone picked Kova to beat Yarde early by KO.

Some were then still optimistic that the Krusher was back with that one jab KO, that “Kova stilll big.”

Many changed their tune when Canelo countered Kova’s right hand...

So what’s the excuse for Plant?

“Plant is old.”

“Plant was stopped before.”
“Plant had a war with Feigenbutz.”

Call a Spade a Spade. Plant ain’t gangsta. I hope Plant gets stopped by Benavidez so that for the rest of his life he dwells on the easy fight he had with Feigenbutz and turned down Canelo.

Clearly plant is very aware of canelos tendency to be an opportunist. With that being said, if you get offered that fight, you man up and take it. It's not like you're Kovalev and are 36 yrs old coming off multiple knockout losses and fighting on 10 weeks rest after a tough and grueling fight.
