It was a brilliant decision. At high end world championship level, you have to give the guy every chance. It's different if you're in a corner taking blow after blow, Fury was down, and no longer being hit, it would only have saved him a few seconds waving the fight off. I loved the shock of Wilder's face when he got back up, and that Fury started kicking his ass later in the round proved the decision was right. Also, look at Wilder's reaction when the scorecards are read out as a Draw. You can't hide his relief, such a telling moment on Wilder's true thoughts.

Good interview especially around the count, shame he didnt do this straight after the fight to put the dumb Wilder fans that were questioning the count in check

Fighters have 10 seconds to get up so its not even a talking point, its a manufactured debate.
WHy on earth should reiss have waved it off? Fury was winning and hadn't taken much punches. It was 12th round.
Wilder knows he got beat by fury. Wilder just disappointed fury got up and that he couldn't finish off Tyson when Tyson got up.

I have no idea why this was ever even a debate. He got up way before the count, i didnt know there was a rule that u call of a fight cause someone took a heavy knockdown. Just wilder fans being pathetic trying to.pretend in some weird alternate reality wilder 'won'

It was all good. Wilder fans and Wilders team just made a load of noise about it cuz Wilder didnt win. Dont forget we also got baby oil and gypsy magic.

Maybe the ref should have waved fight off in the 9th round also as Tyson went down, or when Cunningham downed Fury?
Why not change the rules of boxing so everyone is clear, whoever goes down first loses.?
Tyson fury fans might not have thought Fury was getting up but that is another topic he has 10 seconds.

The count was fine, it wasnt long or anything.

It was late in the fight and Fury got up.

I don't see the debate on this one.
