It would be an interesting matchup for Tyson and Wilder. Wilder has a long body and I could see Rooney training Tyson to get inside and work on Wilder's ribs. I don't think Wilder would have enough punch output to keep Tyson off of him. The blueprint to beat Tyson would be great movement, work off the long jab, tie him up on the inside and off the jab comes a right hand. That isn't Wilder. His footwork isn't very good. I don't know if Wilder expects to knock out Tyson with one straight right hand and if that's the case then Tyson would get him in 5 rounds or less.

I think Wilders height would be an issue.

The super heavyweights of today would give the greats of the past problems just due to their size and strength. Wlad for example would crush Mike to death in a clinch.

Wlad would have been rendered senseless inside of 1 round. No version of Wlad ever beats a prime Mike Tyson.

Its not debatable? He foughts like 40 over matched opponents he was set up to beat and maybe 2-3 genuinely good fighters.

When do you think Deontay will reach his prime? With recent outstanding performances and KOTY candidates over Dominic Breazeale and Luis 'King-Kong' Ortiz, the 'Bronze-Bomber' looks unstoppable. When Wilder KO's Tyson Fury this week, I think its safe to say Deontay is almost there.

I was never a fan of Mike Tyson, but prime Mike beats Wilder inside 4-5 rounds. Past prime Mike ( after prison) still stops Wilder, probably in 10-11th round.

Wilder is a bum and he would stand zero chance against Mike.

Mike peaked at 85 to Spinks fight

His upper body defensive skills were outstanding...thats what caught my attention in the early part of his career..

He rarely got hit...I knew has his competition level went up this would come in handy

But after he destroyed Spinks...he just started to walk straight in to his opponents..see Razor and Thomas fights

Throw a few hooks..tie his self up in a clinch

Unfortunately soon he went to jail before he could fight a peak Holyfield in in early 90s

Look at Douglas fight ..Wilder was taller and hit harder..
