    When Wilder knocked down Fury...

I keep reading Wilder’s fans stating that he never hit Fury cleanly, or that the blows that felled Fury were not very devastating, hence, Fury will be an easy win for a more patient Wilder.

While I am expecting Wilder to win, I do not agree with this logic.

The first KD was the culmination of two right hands to the back of the head, just above the base of the skull. This is one of THE MOST DANGEROUS places to be hit.

The second KD was from a right hand that landed flush near Fury’s temple, and the follow up left hook landed square on the chin area. Perhaps people believe that Fury partially dodged the first shot, but review shows this is simply not the case. He crouched down in a last ditch effort to avoid the shot, but by this point in the fight, Wilder was already throwing his shots much lower to compensate for Fury’s ducking motions. If you watch the replays, Fury has already stopped his movement down and away when the shot hits him.

In a nutshell, I think the argument that Fury somehow was hit by poor shots and still got knocked down does not hold any water. Of course, Wilder may likely win, but not because of how Wilder fanboys would have you believe, aka: “Fury got knocked down twice by the wind that emanated from Wilder’s punches, so if he is caught half decent this time, it’s game over...” haha.

I think Fury’s chin has done as well as just about anybody Wilder’s faced not named Duhaupas.

Fury has heart and some real dog in him, you are going to have to kill him to stop him

I think mostly it was that Wilder clearly gassed for the first time in his career, and also he came into the fight much too light.

Fury still deserves all the credit in the world, though. Very few people get up from those shots regardless of the circumstances.

Although he doesn’t get enough credit for it, Mayweather was the same way.

          Okay I can see that.
That is a much better point.

Wilder smashed him good. A big straight right quickly followed by a wicked left hook. That doesn't mean Wilder couldn't hit him even harder in the rematch. I thought Fury got a long count and too many walk this way tests before the ref let the fight continue and that saved Fury from a KO. A different better referee and Wilder would have knocked him out. I believe he was down longer than 10 seconds and should have been counted out and many others feel the same way. It happens sometimes and Tyson had Douglas down for more than 10 seconds but Douglas got a slow count.

Watching the clock, I myself felt that the count was fair and Fury was fully up at about 9 or 9.5 seconds. It was close but I didn’t see anything crooked there. The walk this way stuff could be seen as stalling, but after a knockdown like that, if I was refereeing I very well may have waved it off...

I don’t think Wilder was robbed by any stretch of the imagination; Fury was still very lucky it didn’t go down as a KO.

Wilder, his owners and his fans have so far come up with about 28 excuses as to why Wilder did not win the 1st fight. Not hitting Fury flush is just one of those excuses. Slow count from the ref is another one.

I suggest to watch CLOSELY both knockdowns. They are su****ious at least. Wilder hits fury as he did not want to hurt him while Fury lied down much too easily for my taste.
I hate conspiracy theories in sports, but boxing saw much more odd things before.
