I’m gonna ask around and try and get some insight into how Callum Smith feels about this.

Knowing his stance on the Canelo fight, I’m convinced this offer is being rejected either against his will or without his input.

Knowing Callum like I do, I’m convinced he hasn’t personally turned this down. This has Hearn and Gallagher’s fingerprints all over it.

I completely agree with your sentiments though and I imagine the fighters do too.

So rather than being these 'bums' not being satisfied with 12 mill, it's the opposite. They would be satisfied with something less but in that ballpark and, presumably, would be delighted to fight for 12 mill.

Trying to arrange the best deal available hardly makes them bums or afraid. It makes them not mugs.
Jacobs is a far bigger name in the US than both Smith and BJS put together.

Do you think Liam Smith got the same deal as Khan?

Yup, Hearn confirming exactly what we thought. Lowball offers.

Jacobs got $12 million. Kovalev got $12 million. Charlo was offered $12 million.

          That’s the market rate.

He then says Smith and BJS aren’t even asking for the market rate.

They’re just not willing to fight Canelo Alvarez for peanuts.

          Good for them.

they don't deserve equal pay to Jacobs. these mofos are both coming off atrocious performances (Callum lost to Ryder btw.) now they're demanding Jacobs money? GTFOH. these cowardly Brits better kick rocks. Canelo would smoke either of them and get no credit anyway because like I said they're both coming off horrible outings. Ryder deserves the Canelo fight more than both of them just for being robbed.

Hearn literally said in the article that they’re demanding less than the market rate for a Canelo opponent.

They’ve been given a terrible offer.

The money comes after you beat Canelo. Not before.

So shut your mouth and take 3 or 4 times your career-high payday for a chance at becoming a star.

Eddie Reynoso didn't help the situation by telling the media they're dead set on 168lbs. There was a great smokescreen with Murata and they could have leaked a few more names of 160lb fighters to gain more leverage on negotiations. Not a good spot to be in if you're GBP. They will have to ante up the offers a bit or consider fighting a non champion.
