BJS and Smith both looked like crap in their last fights they think they deserve a big pay day and know they are going to lose so want to cash out that's all Daniel Jacobs is way more popular and has a better story than both those guys combined so of course he is going to get paid more. If they were confident in beating Canelo they would take the fight win and have leverage for bigger fights but everyone know's whats up.

He then says Smith and BJS aren’t even asking for the market rate.

They’re just not willing to fight Canelo Alvarez for peanuts.

      Good for them.
Absolute garbage. Nothing lowball about offering more than double a fighters highest payday. Seems like only in the last 5 years challengers are demanding ridiculous money against massive draws.

Bluffing with a weaker hand is never smart.

They need Canelo more than Canelo needs them.

$5M for Smith/Saunders plus a small percentage of other income is good enough to be fitted versus number one PPV boxer in the world.

Interesting to see Hearn dealing with this side of the negotiating table when he's been offering Wilder flat fees, reduced splits, and justifying it by saying it's X amount more than what Wilder currently makes.

I think he did the same thing with Andy Ruiz, where AJ made a significantly higher amount than then Champion Andy Ruiz.

You would think, but not necessarily... they don't want GGG.... not many other options than these 2.... and they are running out of time.

Saunders and Smith are both champions. They have also seen other Canelo opposition being offered way more than they have just been offered. At this moment in time i feel both are holding out for more money. Nobody has walked away from anything just yet.

When i see them acting like some of these PBC fighters i will be pulling them up and pulling them up hard. When they start calling Canelo a coward and the B side and talk about all the inhouse fights they can make instead and how Canelo dont want no smoke i will shower them with contempt.

If not one or two but three fighters are turning down the fight with Canelo, that means that Oscar is pricing his boys out of the fight with two out of three that can beat Canelo. Especially with Smith, he is the lineal super middleweight champion and can punch like a cruiserweight. Canelo is probably offering him peanuts like 2 million to come to Vegas and lose on the scorecards that are pre-filled out before the fight begins. If neither Saunders or Smith are being offered at least 10 million dollars then Oscar is deliberately throwing the fight. They probably offered the Japanese star Murata a few million to fight in Tokyo when Murata already makes that for fighting anybody. I can see that huge 365 million dollar deal with DAZN getting pulled back very soon. Canelo is cornered with nothing but potentially tough fights that he can't win.
