So rather than being these 'bums' not being satisfied with 12 mill, it's the opposite. They would be satisfied with something less but in that ballpark and, presumably, would be delighted to fight for 12 mill.

Trying to arrange the best deal available hardly makes them bums or afraid. It makes them not mugs.
if a fighter can negotiate more money for himself more power to him.

Do the math Canelo makes 32 mil in a one of a kind deal like Floyd used to have when he paid fighters 3 mil who set records basically (Canelo barely got paid while Floyd pocketed likely over 40 mil easily if not double that vs him,he damn sure made less than these clown non ppv unknowns who fight on YouTuber undercards & look rubbish recently vs cherries but want cashcow money basically)

The problem for Canelo is that today's fighters KNOW that he got underpaid, and they don't want to make the same mistake! Canelo fought Floyd on a PPV, so he made another $7M ($12M total) from PPV. I don't think that's possible for his opponent since DAZN is not a PPV site, but a subscription service. I think 33% is a fair cut to another Champion!
