Floyd Mayweather was a bigger star and earned bigger paydays than Canelo Alvarez does currently.

Yet he paid Maidana $3 million for their first fight.

Canelo should not let himself get extorted.

Golovkin didn't give Kell Brook a cent. Eddie Hearn and Sky Sports payed both of them.

If Floyd Mayweather had fought in an era where his last two opponents that were comparable to Maidana had been paid $12 million, Maidana would have expected $12 million.

You can’t give a middleweight champion with two losses $12 million, give a light heavyweight champion with three losses $12 million and expect an undefeated super middleweight champion to take half or a third of that. He’s not going to do it and he shouldn’t.

Homie, this ain't PPV. If it was PPV then Canelo would be driving the sales without question and could pay lower amounts.

The problem is since dazn is a subscription service, the Canelo fans have already purchased dazn. Any new subscription sales would theoretically be because of the opponent, not Canelo, again given that all the Canelo fans have likely already purchased the app.

Hell, I wouldn't be surprised if out of (reported) 800,000 subs sold in the USA, 700,000 are Canelo fans. Those that haven't purchased it probably just go to the bar or movie theater.

DAZN's mega contract is with Canelo not Callum Smith.

Canelo shouldn't be expected to take a cut from that money to overpay these guys.

... from a split that they (fairly) negotiated with Team Golovkin

FACT: there was no take-it-or-leave-it lowball for Brook... like there was for Jacobs and Saunders... because Golovkin actually wanted to fight Brook

Golovkin offered Jacobs " Quillin money ", and then quickly ran off fight Dominic Wade... with NO counter offer, and NO negotiation... that was a take-it-or-leave-it lowball

Golovkin then did THE EXACT SAME THING TO SAUNDERS... offered him 1.5m... with NO counter offer, NO negotiation... and then quickly ran off fight Kell Brook...

don't listen to the ***wits who happily ignored all of that

there are only about half-a-dozen of them

at least Canelo is offering these guys career-high paydays... the guys that Golovkin did not want to fight needed to take a paycut
He offered Eubank 5 million immediately prior to the Brooke fight not Saunders.. ****wit.

No take it or leave it offer for Brook from who, you fucking moron ... his own promoter?

And if GGG didn't want to fight Jacobs, why did he offer him more than his mandated purse split when he could have just walked away?
