Bh isn't really known as Mr cautious so you'd imagine without even having to think bh had fought tougher competition.
Bh in reality is a higher ATG than floyd is, but floyd having his name linked to pac helps floyd out, floyd rides on pacs back and could well be ranked higher than bh all time because simply being associated with pac

Lol at Pac? Pac is a seasoned ATG who till this day would be favored to beat any welterweight not named Crawford or Spence. If you go back five years to the Pacman who fought Mayweather, he may be favored to beat them as well. I'm not gonna sit here and say Pacquiao was in his prime, but being past prime is a LONG way from being washed up. To say that version of Pacman isn't a very tough fight is ignorant.
Only fighter with an 'official win' over Canelo...this is true...and yes fighting a green Canelo at 152 just dilutes that win...I would say that for any fighter, not just Floyd.

Austin Trout literally went 12 rounds with Canelo at 154 5 months before Canelo fought Floyd...Lara went 12 rounds with him less than a year later...to say that no current or 2013 version WW would go 12 with a 23 year old Canelo at 152 is a big reach.

That fight was a MD btw...or do we only rep the scorecards on here when that suits us (ie you saying no one beat Canelo when I think any objective person knows he has at least 1 loss since Floyd...I think he has 2 and many would say he has 2...either 2 to GGG, or 1 to GGG and 1 to Lara).

It is my humble opinion, and I think fairly obvious, that Floyd delayed that fight with Manny...it should have happened 5 years prior...if Floyd beat him then, I would have given him full credit for it...as it was, Manny was not really in great form going into that fight with Floyd in 2015...he hadn't KOed anyone since Cotto in 2009...his best official win in his last 5 fights/3 years was a UD over Timothy Bradley...and 2 years after Floyd Manny went life and death with Jeff Horn.

So yes I discount that win as well...Floyd was great though...but anyone not discounting his run at 147 and above, based on the names he beat, is being disingenuous imho.

Nah. A slow, flat footed guy with no reach that Floyd fought in his style in the first fight. In the rematch he outclassed him easy and that should have went on the first time around

Who said it was about body of work? Is the title who has the better resume? Tougher competition could mean the toughest opponent, or handful of opponents, or whatever. It could also take age into context as well. I mean, you could say bhop just getting in the ring with kovalev at 50 damn years old was at that time, to that version of hopkins, a tougher opponent than anyone Floyd fought.

Wright was at 170 a catchweight, fight shouldve been at middleweight for Hopkins title at 160 earlier

DLH was in his 6th division and Tito in his 3rd

calzaghe was closer to 40 than 30.

Floyd has the better opponents by far when its all put in the proper context
Yea, prime Guerrero and Prime Ortiz really put Floyd over anyone.

The thread question says nothing about age. Stop trying to move the goalposts.
It also says nothing about overall resume.

I wouldn’t say Guerrero was in his prime. He’s never been good at ww.
