Bh fought the tougher competituon. The fighters b h was fighting in mid 40s are mostly better than the guys Floyd was fighting in 30s ie, tarver, winky, pavlik, pascal.
They're better than the ortiz, guerrero, and maidana of this world and bertos and that's not even taking into consideration bh was a decade older than floyd was,

Still have to go with May. Corrales, Hernandez, JLC, Hatton, ODLH, Cotto, Pac, Canelo ect. B-hop Jones, Tito, ODLH, Wright. Both have other good opponents, but for HOF level I think B-hop has about 4. Full credit from me for Tito(unlike some), but ODLH was too small, and Wright was a bit smaller also. Jones was pre prime, but so was B-hop and he lost.

Why did you leave out marquez if you give hop credit for tito?

I listed 6 fights Bhop had at 160 as notable, and said he had some good, notice how I didn't say great, wins at that weight...and I said he basically got the best version of all of those guys.

It was the best version of Glen Johnson and Jermain Taylor...so there's 3 fights...close to but not quite the best version of RJJ...and Tito was in his prime at least, but not a full 160 pound fighter...thus a good win but not a great win...ODLH drained Bhop to 158 and Bhop KOed him still...and was only 31 with 2 losses to Mosley and 1 to Tito at that time...so yes a good win but not a great win.

Good point. I forgot Marquez. Tito was a huge 47pder, and B-hop was a career 60pder until 40 who made 156 in 2nd to last defense at 40(ODLH). B-hop was a little bigger, and Tito was a little younger. Did Tito look like a small 60pder vs Joppy?

B-hop made 156 all on his own vs ODLH. No catchweight.

Lol at Canelo and even Pac to some degree...idk I just can't really take at face value anything Floyd did at 147 and above...almost everything there has an asterisk, even if it is small...as mentioned though his work below that was very very good.

And he obviously wasn't terrible at all at 147 and above...just that there weren't really any great opponents there, not like some are trying to make it out...and by that I mean a great fighter, in his prime, at his best weight...if you can find one for Floyd there please name him.

No one is really arguing that BHop was a better fighter than Floyd...but he 100% faced tougher opponents...BHop has 8 losses and 2 draws on his resume and fought 67 times, until he was 50...so saying Floyd faced tougher opponents than Bhop, when most agree Bhop is an ATG...I mean you would be saying that Floyd is by far and away the best fighter ever which no one should be saying honestly.

Idk it's just funny to me to see Floyd fans take shots at the timing/weight etc of the opponents of someone like BHop lol...just funny.

Have to factor in when/what weight you beat a guy...and when you do that for Floyd most of those wins above 147 don't look as good...his work below that weight was really really good though...great fighter, I take nothing away from him really.

Huh...what are you even arguing...are you really saying that Bhop who fought at MW for 15 years decided to fight below that limit? Like what...

You laugh at Canelo I suppose because he was young, but leave out May was old, and much smaller. Pac was same era(even though he also was younger)and has shown he was far from shot. Im a fan of both by the way. but saying because B-hop has 8 losses means he has fought better comp makes no sense to me. Also think your downplaying May time at 47 quite a bit considering he never weighted above 149 fight night, and still beat quite a few guys I left off like Maidona and Mosley(who was older), but coming off one of his best wins.
