    Kovalev’s next fight at cruiserweight

Just read that Sergey Kovalev’s next fight will be at cruiserweight
Honestly speaking , I’m thinking he should retire before being severely hurt
Imo , he is a shot fighter , decreasing as the days go by

You guys think this will actually extend his career or don’t see much coming out of this
Can this be Buddy’s way to get a few more fights out of Kovi ?

I think he'll be fine. Most likely fight a guy like Shumenov.

Kind of throws that whole 'Kov only rehydrated to 180 on fight night' angle out the window though, doesn't it

        Not so sure about it
I think it’s a desperate attempt to prolong his career

I also think he should retire but he does seem to have outgrown LHW if his last fight was any indication. The second day weigh in seemed to have had an effect and that would not have been the case if 175 wasn't becoming a difficult weight to make for him.

If he isn't going to retire then probably cruiserweight is worth a shot.

Was waiting for someone to actually bring that up

Canelo doesn’t hit nearly as hard as a natural cruiserweight. They better match Kov carefully or not at all.

I don't think his last 2 performances had anything to do with weight issues.

Yarde nearly stopped him, Canelo did. He's shot to bits and should retire before he gets seriously hurt.

He's had a good career, despite some bad results at the end.

Depends on the kinds of guys he fights, he can probably outbox a lot of fringe guys at 200 but the real hitters will land on him and send him to the moon. I have to say, I'm intrigued as hell by the possibility of Kovalev vs Kudryashov in Mother Russia

DAZN have him for 2 fights. Apparently the first fight is on the undercard of Teixeira vs Castano. Then get prepared for the very real possibility of Kovalev vs Okolie
