He has never been knocked out and Rigo is a good puncher but so is Yamanaka he hurt him when he actually decided to throw punches but the Venezuelan was game he was at least trying to make it a fight Rigo was just posturing most of the fight waiting to land one counter at a time was one of the most boring fight's I have ever seen there are boxing clinics where clean effective punching and then there is fights like this with very little action besides round 1 when Solis rocked him around the ring and the 2 rounds Rigo hurt him other than that it was Solis the smaller guy chasing Rigo around the entire fight.

I like Rigo but im just calling it as it is he decides at almost 40 years old to go 118 and gets rocked in the first round by the smaller man I don't think he has many big fights left and yeah if he pulls a masterclass he can outbox Inoue he can outbox anyone but if Inoue touches him its over without a doubt and he can be hit just look at his last few fights.
... Solis is one inch shorter but he has the longer reach of the two... Rigo came at 121 lbs, while Solis came at 127 lbs last night... This much about the "smaller guy"...

Rigondeaux is an enigma. He stands and trades in his last fight, then returns to his un-fan-friendly old style in this fight. But at 39 years-old, maybe it’s best for him not to take punishment.

I had never realized how many similar facial traits there are between Rigo and Gary Coleman.

Loma brough Rig. Up like what 2 or 3 weight classes??? Not even a CW? Just remember an Uber Drive beat Loma with 15+ losses.

I love to see how smart Rigo is. The only reason for him be able to fight at 39 is because his defensive style. Why he will trade punches if he has one of the best defenses of the world if not the best?. Who can defend like him at his age?. He notice that Solis is a heavy puncher at first round. The smart thing was to adjust to defensive style.
He is one of the few wh will be able to continue after the 40's . He is new. NEver been punished.
I loved who smart he is.

If you realize your opponent can hurt you, why would you stand and trade? Doing so is a strategy to lose.

One of the most important things in boxing is to fght your fight. Standing and trading shots is not Rigo's fight.

If you don't know they all were at 122, then is nothing to talk about it. The 4 of then publicly stated that didn't want nothing with Rigondeaux, and he was the unified Champion at the time. Actually he never loss his belts in the ring.
