well none but ok what new stars in all of boxing are there after the may-pac era?

    Canelo
    Tyson fury
    AJ
    ... ryan garcia

    those are basically it.

promoter can only do so much. hell look at the guys top rank wanted to be the next big thing, bradley and crawford but those guys have no personality.

you got guys like rolly and broner, they would be freaking huge if they had the talent but they keep taking losses. Then you got crawford-spence they have the talent but they are boring.

You realistically need both the talent and the charisma and THEN a promoter who is supportive

Tank the promoter did the best they can. They matched him with Rolly and Garcia two guys with charisma to sell the fight. He is a KO artist, hes marginally less ******ed than spence or crawford when it comes to speaking.

True superstars are pretty rare though. there are only what 4 i listed above that are even sort of super stars since PBC has even been around. probably doesnt help after the HBO/showtime era that boxing got fractured and split up on all these networks. HBO did a ton to promote fighters. Look at them with say roy jones, they pushed him hard when he had the skill but not really the charisma and he was fighting a lot of bums for a while but HBO did their part to remind everyone he was p4p.

        So just Tank Davis.

And maybe David Benavidez, depending on whether or not one thinks he qualifies as a star.
That's if he gets the opportunity to challenge and defeat Canelo Alvarez. If so, then he would have definitely reached the big time as a star.

Exactly. PBC (Part-time Boxing Camp) creating stars is all fantasy.

              For sure Tank is one

and I think they've done a good job with Caleb Plant. Not a star but they gave him a good push, turned into 2 successful PPV's with the right opponent. We'll see if David can go further than that with the win over Plant

He's got to be one of the few guys who has taken his show on the road though, he has done good attendance in a lot of "non-boxing" cities - the places are packed, the fans are legit excited, it's usually a good show. It could have been better for boxing as a whole if he made better fights earlier in his career, he might left plenty on the table, he probably could be bigger than he is.

Benavidez’ last PPV sold better than any of Tank’s…outside the Ryan Garcia one. That’s pretty good.

How much did Caleb Plant have to do with that? We’ll find out on his next one.

Floyd does credit Al Haymon for a lot so I threw him in as one of their successes. But it can be argued that he only got big after beating De La Hoya.

                      Can't forget Ugas.

Even though it was shortlived he shot up to Superstar status after knocking off and retiring the legendary 8 division champion Emmanuel "Pac-Man" Pacquiao.
