  • Dubois-Joyce on PPV WTF??

Hearn deservedly gets a lot of criticism for putting dross on PPV, so Warren must be held to the same standards.

Whilst Dubois-Joyce is a very exciting fight, it’s a DOMESTIC level fight. British title fights being on PPV is terrible IMO.

PPV is supposed to represent a premier product of particular significance. For instance Wilder-Fury is fight that merits that distinction as it features the BEST two HW’s in the world.

Whilst Joyce and Dubois are exciting prospects with potentially huge upside, putting them on PPV is unjust, and is simply motivated by greed tbh.

Setting up Dubois to be the next Joshua? Love this fight though, UK HWs do it right! Respect.

Well, boxers do not fight for charity, do they? It's all about money and greed. Fights being on PPV or not is not about some being less greedy....it is about the fighters (or a particular fight) being popular enough to generate PPV numbers. Dubois-Joyce, while being very good and competitive, is not good enough to be PPV on its own. Coupled with some good undercard, that would be justifiable.

        PPV is dead!

Except in the UK where literally every ****ing fight is on PPV.

Yeah it's madness. No one's going to buy it.

Warren criticized Hearn for putting AJ-Whyte on PPV despite this Joyce-Dubois fight being way less worthy.

It’s not justifiable in the slightest. For instance could this fight even headline a card in the US?

British boxing should be aiming higher but instead we’re lowering are standards.

I like this fight, I’m probably gonna buy a ticket but putting it on PPV is just blatant greed.

Literally anything half decent is behind a paywall. And the fights we get as part of our Sky subscription are Brook-DeLuca...

And idiots say “British boxing is booming”.😂
