The same way that not everyone can develop a 400 lb bench press.., not everyone can be a powerful puncher. If it was that easy then everyone would be a KO artist. Genetics are the most important aspect of power AND endurance too. Everyone can train to improve these traits but we all have a limit to what our individual genetics dictate.

Can a woman be taught to punch as hard as a man? Can a womanish man be taught to punch as hard as Manish man?

I think u can do things to extract the most from yourself. But as a kid if ur fast nobody taught u how. If ur slow it’s not something fundamentally wrong that’s holding u back. U can become a better counter puncher, make the most of ur power. Things like power n speed can be improved to a minor extent, assuming u are already in shape, through technique, but there’s no way ur going to surpass someone who is more naturally gifted than you.

"Punches Are Born Not Made" I believe that 1000% same with a Good Chin you're born with that as well I've never really seen somebody "IMPROVE THEIR WEAK CHIN"

I've seen The Late Great Manny Steward adjust Lennox and Wlad styles to avoid their chins getting touched as much by training them to use that Long Jab and keeping their opponents at the end of that jab and also Clinching to Disrupt them for possibly landing anything BIG on their Chins while pulling back

Great post and reference. I’ve lifted since I was 15. My dominant body parts like arms n legs wasent due to any extra effort, in fact I’d train them less just to keep balance. My chest and shoulders would be a struggle and if I stop training they melt away. My dad has always had big arms. My first training partner was 5’5 155lbs and could bench 315lbs as a teenager but he had skinny legs and arms. I just mean to back u up that eons of genetics are worth more than what u can do on ur time on earth. We can all improve sure. But there’s nothing u can do to beat a Bo Jackson.

And also has one of the best technique in generating power at the right by pulling from a jab, then countering, yet can't bust a g****.

I believe punching power can be taught, through teaching the proper technique to land the powershot, but it only goes so far.

                  .
Bingo..... Punching power is prolly the most sought after skill. Yet guys who are known for being gym **** can't get it.

I remember Bradley was training for more power for the 2nd Manny fight... He did manage to knock Manny off his feet... But he never could hurt him.

Then look at Loma who seems to do just about everything perfect, not a big puncher.

If power could be taught..... Guys like Amir Khan, Joan Guzman, Pauile M, Porter, would have dominated

Couldn't powder puff punchers if they were taught to use their body mechanics differently be taught to deliver punches with alot more effectiveness if they unlearn what they know and relearn a different way to better suit them?
Punching power is almost solely about maxing out leverage, but leverage comes from the genetics that you're born with.

A good trainer can definitely streamline the technique, but genetics are genetics.

Paulie Malinaggi was never going to be able to sit there and punch it out with you, regardless of who was teaching him.

Besides that, devastating shots are more of a threshold conversation anyway

Alright, well to analyze this what is it exactly that Paulie lacking that other fighters with crushing power around his height and weight have that leave him with pillow hands while they're knocking guys to Neptune?
