    Poor management.
But I guess they just want to get him in the ring. no one decent taking a fight on short notice. And I don't think they want risk another 8 month break negotiating with fickle serial duckers like whyte.

Parker probably won't resign with Matchroom if they keep this up

He should. If this is a stay active fight maybe someone of the Wach, Kauffman or Hammer caliber; a guy who will go rounds but won't threaten to win.

I'm not sure I put this on Hearn TBH. He had Parker set to face Del Boy but Parker pulled out with a spider bite. That would have been a dangerous scrap for Parker. Next fight we see is Parked vs this Shawndell guy. Parker's team has always struck me as amateurish. Parker himself fights risk averse. I suspect he and his team hope to tread water until a big payday lands on their lap (as opposed to taking risks to make it happen).

Parker's matchmaking has been terrible lately. He better be getting ready for a really big fight.

Will be interesting to see .
Hearn tried to get Hunter vs Hrgovic but Hunter didn’t want it his last fight , After seeing Parker struggled with awkward Hughie what do you think a same size fighter with power and aggression does with awkward movements does , Hrgovic ends all those guys title hopes up if they take a fight with him .

Hearn doesn’t manage Parker , it’s Higgins doing the match making for his fighter . It’s actually not a bad fight on short notice . Should be good for the first five rounds at least . Winters is practically the same type and level as Jennings with less ring experience but he doesn’t fight timid this guy brings some heat ,could be a soft touch gone bad if Parker is not focused .

Hunter filip would have been a good fight too . While I agree winters is the same type as jennings I wouldnt call him the same level. Winters has done nothing at heavyweight, lost to two guys on a level jennings has never lost too and this guy is really a career cruiserweight and he has 15 fights . I dont think that's fair to jennings . I mean hes done as a top 10 heavyweight and in gatekeeper status but I would pick him to beat winters , and he would he a massive favorite . But bryant still just gave rivas a real good fight . The same rivas who almost knocked whyte out . I mean rivas knocked jennings out but by this logic jennings is just slightly below whyte . Iam not saying that , iam just going off a common opponent For an example . Iam not some ortiz obsessed lunatic like some people on here trying to make jennings to be something hes not to glorify luiss win . jennings was a top10 heavy when ortiz beat him, what I mean is I dont have an agenda with this post . Just calling it how I see it . Bottom line is winter has fought no one and has lost twice during his prospect status. This is a short notice showcase fight . If winters was a full fledged heavyweight I wouldnt shake my head too bad but parker needs to fight someone asap .

Waste of a fight for Joey.
Agreed . Well put . This is a disappointment short notice or not .

I’d say Winters win over Teslenko is a better win then Jennings has who is Szpilka,I’d put money on the hard hitting prospect .

Jennings is more proven and holds vast pro experience but Parker will be in a fight if Winters can hold up and not wind down before mid rounds where he gets sloppy but still dangerous ,he has better boxing imop then Parker in the early going but not the stamina or chin of Parker . He has shots that land hard you don’t see coming .
