If he gets past Fury, I'd like to see him vs someone that also is a heavy hitter, like eg Dubois.

His level of opposition is too weak to fully gauge his punching power. I'm not even sure that he hits as hard as Lennox Lewis. Go back and watch Lennox Lewis fight Andrew golota or Shannon Briggs. I don't think Wilder would have got those guys out of there like Lennox Lewis did.

He also hasn't fought anyone tough with a great chin. There's not an Oliver McCall or a David tua or a ray Mercer around for him to fight. Lennox fought all three of those guys.

There was a similar myth around Edwin Valero. Because he had 20 first round knockouts. Valero was a pretty good fighter. But when he stepped up and fought Antonio DeMarco who is probably the best opponent he had fought at that time. He did not look like a devastating one punch knockout puncher. Now watch Adrien Broner against Antonio DeMarco and tell me who hits harder Broner or Edwin Valero? You see what I mean about competition level.

I’ll take a Wilder punch before Tyson’s. Just saying.

If you paid attention to the actual punch it wasn’t flush. Yes it was hard but Fury roller with it. Watched it 40+ times in slomo and Tyson put on a stage show with it. It was loud and it was hard out not flush. Had he hit him the way he decked Brazeale, he’d still be asleep.

Let`s get real: Vitali Klitschko hit harder than Wilder.

                Wilders power

I don't understand why ya hating on haymayker saying Wilder hit harder than klitschko that's his opinion like really lemme guess Tyson fury hit harder than Wilder come on not likeing the guy is 1thing but it's clear that boy can punch hard haters obviously him and fury are the only ones trying to fight each other cause sanctioning body's have unification clauses if aj really wanted to get it on with wilder I'm just saying

Did Wilder ever fight anybody like those mentioned above?

Let’s be honest nobody would ever want to sit there and **** with Wildier atleast in this era. It’s hard to match Wildier up because of his limited boxing skills. He can be outboxed by all the heavyweight greats minus Tyson but I think he can knock anyone of them
Out if he happens to laid that punch.
Minus Tyson? He’d be all over him like a rash...

Wilder is the hardest one shot boxer to lace up gloves, that right hand is lethal. His boxing skills are trash tho, if he had an ounce of the talent that Tyson or Foreman etc had. ( actual schooled, drilled boxers) he would be one of the greatest.

Wilder.must be up there as people keep going on about it with anecdotes.
44 wins with 43 kos doesn't impress me, I assume they were all chinny. What gets my interest is established names like haye saying it as he hits hard himself and fury saying it.
So I'd put wilder up there with lyle, shavers, foreman. Or just below them. Lyle was knocking down foreman. Has wilder?
