I like Teddy but he is too wordy when explaining. Which just needlessly complicates things. Plus he plays too many psychological games with his fighters. That's a lot of baggage to carry into the ring, who wants to be sorting through all that when the pressure is on?

You need to be with him for a long time in order for that kind of coaching to be effective. And he usually starts to get on fighters' nerves before then which is why most end up leaving him.

Bwaa because of one fighter..folks called Freddie a hack for the same reasons..I believe you were among them a few years ago..but that aside Reynoso has too many pots. I think atlas is a fit but he’s not been confirmed so I guess we shall see.

BWAA because of one fighter? Yet you also say he has too many pots?

That makes no sense. It's either one or the other, it can't be both.

He obviously won the award for his work with all the fighters he won with last year. Not just one.

Yeah I can say both because none of his other fighters are really at the main stage to earn him recognition like that yet, not even Ryan: you can have a ton of prospects in your camp and not have but one contender. That’s what Joel Diaz has himself too, Robert Garcia has like twenty prospects too. Reynoso has Canelo and he won that for his work with Canelo..Ryan didn’t do anything big enough last year to earn him any trainer points.

I watched and listened to Teddy Browbeating Michael Moore,

at Caesars Pavilion in the days leading up to the Foreman fight...

I've considered Atlas a Bonified Jerk ever sense...

People here not giving Fury credit. Some have suggested the 2x PED cheat Whyte is a serious contender. Fury manhandled Chisora in their 2nd fight while Whyte was given and gift win in their first, and was clearly losing their second before the drug aided KO. Fury is the #1 or #2 HW in the world. Highly unlikely Wilder will roll him with ease

It's empathy, you see yourself in that position. I'd hit him like this and I'd hit him like that, then reality kicks in. You are not alone.

Ryan had the big win against Romero Duno.

And Oscar Valdez went 3-0 in 2019.

Teddy Atlas also sees space liazards so i wouldn't put too much stock in any of his verbal spasms.

I think Ruiz (as long as he is in shape) would be perfect for a peek-a-boo style trainer - if that is the way Atlas still trains his fighters.

Ruiz remarked after his first win over AJ that he had studied taped of Mike Tyson, so obviously Ruiz likes that style, moving side to side and throwing combinations inside.

As for heavy handers, let's not forget Cleveland Williams and Sonny Liston, as well as Jack Demsey.
