I will not discredit any women in sports 'But I won't force myself to empower them'

I grew up watching Olympic Sports where women competed in at the highest level anyway, so it is nothing new to me seeing women compete in sports 'Sports such as Track and Field athletics, and various other Olympic sports'.

I think the reason why people SOMETIMES discredits them is because they probably grew up solely watching boxing, and then afew team sports 'Where they did not see women, or even train a long side them in school/college and there on after etc'

Seeing female pundits in a mediator role is alright within boxing 'Pretty similar to the way they do on ESPN first take etc'

I’m asking you to explain why you think the disrespect for fighters here is a just a woman thing when the male fighters get disrespected all the time? In all of your posts, you’ve yet to explain why you’re pushing this feminism bs. You’re the one getting defensive because people are challenging what you decided to say.......ironically just like a woman.
Im not pushing anything, my opinion is all fighters kids, teens, men or women take the same risks.

When i speak of disrespect i don't mean dissing certain fighters etc. Example dissing Shields. Most of it is about her personally
I meant dissing the sport of women's boxing like its flag football.

Thats why i keep saying yall missing my point.

Dissing the sport of women boxing aint the same as dissing women fighters personally.

Im not or ever get defensive on here its just discussion.

Don't see why you have to imply im acting like a btch Lmao just cuz of my opinion or imply im pushing feminism just cuz i asked this question about their side of boxing.
My opinions differ from topic to topic, so its not point in implying how i feel about somthing other than the topic i brought up.

Now i get where u coming from, i just feel like its not what i meant.

tbh when I see high level women's boxing I think the quality is a lot better than some other women's sports.

For some reason boxing seems to attract misogyny, ****phobia, nationalism (if not racism). Boxing fans are pretty toxic, really.

The reason that I doubt the you started this thread for a real discussion is because you’ve ignored the posts of people explaining why they have a lack of appreciation for women’s boxing. Even in the post you quoted from me I explained why I don’t like women’s boxing and you just ignored that part of my post to whine about me supposedly not getting your point. That’s passive aggressive man. I did get your point I just don’t agree with you.

It’s really that simple man. I don’t really care how hard the women work and saying they have more heart than men is just gaslighting. All humans deserve basic respect but women’s boxing is just a subpar inferior level of boxing compared to men’s boxing.

... dissing women's boxing isn't different from dissing women's football or basketball... and so on...

... but there are many other sports (much more "feminine") in which there is no "dissing"...

... at the end of the day, this thread is going nowhere... (like many others)...

Now you reaching....#1 cuz ive responded to most of the people who disagreed. And ive been very consistent with my point.

Then u say i ignored that part, but i clearly brought it up. I just felt like that wasn't my point.
You the one who start insulting me just cuz i made a thread about women.

For the 100th time i didn't ask about liking it.... All im saying is why can't it be respected just like amateur boxing, junior Olympics, etc. 90% of prolly don't follow it but most respect them as fighters and they wear headgear and get standing 8 counts. So why not women's boxing?

We can agree to disagree without insulting Mane

I don’t respect whiners and that’s what you’re doing, whining. Women boxing doesn’t get as much respect as men’s boxing because it’s subpar in comparison. You want to push this “fighter are fighters” ideology but obviously that’s not true because fighters are separated by sex and women fighters aren’t as good.

See you reaching again. Fighters are fighters is based solely on everyone take the same risks, do the same training, make the same sacrifices.

Amatuer boxing, junior olympics, senior division, women boxing they all are fighters. Skill level differ from each.

You the one, and only person to get defensive enough to start throwing insults. The fact that u took what i said then implied feminism lets me know what type of dude u are.

See how ****** it would be for me to imply that? So why would u do the same.... It aint that serious.

Goldie has a point. I will help you guys further to say its because of the culture of coaching female fighters. It’s not impossible for female fighters to show the same technique. Nobody is going to try an prove that women hit as hard as guys or are stronger.

A better example is to simply focus on technique and pedigree. It just isn’t there with women’s boxing. There are more ideal competitive elite sport where man and woman can be better measured. Running, Swimming, etc... those fundamentals are a bit more rudimentary with motion whereas boxing is completely a different dynamic. That’s what Goldie is referring to.

With other Olympic level sports, the more common ones, both men and women have chisseled physiques that show consistency. In boxing, women aren’t as fine tuned. Plus there are many butch and dykes in the game. It’s always been that way.
