Honestly. No one will believe that excuse. Even a recluse guy with some wits left won't believe that lie.
Let's start with seeking questions.
1. What's the biggest payday of JMM?
Simple.
The 750k was supposedly his biggest payday if he had faced PAC.
2. What happened with the fight with PAC?
Simple.
JMM went back on his words and proved he's not a man of his word. He went back on an agreement already done and turned his back on it with the lame excuse that he's not recieving enough.
Again we just have to go back to question number 1.
What is JMM's biggest payday.
Everyone knows 1.5 isn't JMM's price. Without PAC JMM is nothing. And proof of that is that he lost to CJ in Indonesia for a mere 50 bucks... err 50k.
750k is a lot of difference from 50k.
And now JMM is nowhere to be found. Suits him for turning his back on an agreement.Comment

You misunderstood what he is saying. What he was trying to say is that each fighter was receiving 1.5 million for the rematch. Arum only coughed up 750K, which means he was keeping HALF of the money for his end.
If that was Manny Pacquiao and his promoter was bilking him for half his end, everyone would have told him not to accept the fight under those terms.Comment

Yes but the point is Marquez walked away from that 750K and made 50K, and has made peanuts since.Originally posted by BIGPOPPAPUMPYou misunderstood what he is saying. Fighting for 750K would have been 10x what he's earned since turning down that fight, and winning it would have set up even bigger purses.Comment

No one know how much they will make for their next fight. I know JMM felt messed up about earning 50k for that fight.Manny was already taken (meaning with Morales) for him to consider a rematch.I don't think any fighter wants to wait to fight one guy.Originally posted by Bozo_no noYes but the point is Marquez walked away from that 750K and made 50K, and has made peanuts since.

That was half his check, it's the principle of the matter. If that was me I would have done the same thing. No ****ing way would I ever let a guy keep half my check, and the guy next to me (Morales) is keeping almost all of his end.Originally posted by Bozo_no noYes but the point is Marquez walked away from that 750K and made 50K, and has made peanuts since.

If Arum really wanted to make the fight, he wouldnt have been so greedy by wanting to take half of Marquez's end and actually cut back by a few hundred grand to actually make the fight.Comment

I have no problems with the filipinos here and I don't dislike Manny.
But, I'm getting a bit tired of seeing some of the filipinos constantly talk **** about mexican fighters and always coming up with some lame joke/insult/tirade against them.
What does that say about Manny if you refer to his opponents as "cowardly ***got bums"?Comment

I don't think it will happen, but if Pacquiao retired next year after Morales and anotehr big fight, then Marquez will really have blown his chances to make a big money rematch. I think Pacquiao talking retirement at this stage has really thrown a LOT of people's plans into disarray.Comment
