If Arum really wanted to make the fight, he wouldnt have been so greedy by wanting to take half of Marquez's end and actually cut back by a few hundred grand to actually make the fight.

From what i read it was also beristain's horrible management in the first place that squandered the fight for Marquez according to ring, most of this is manegement, not Marquez, which is why i dont think marquez is the "*****" most people on here make him out to be.

Now I understand why Marquez turned it down.

      **** Bob Arum.

Why would Beristain not want Marquez to take big money fights when he himself as a trainer/manager takes a cut from his guy? Loyalty is the answer to that question. Beristain is like a father to the Marquez's and has been there for them through their whole career's when nobody cared for them or did anything for them.

Then a sonofabitch like Arum comes along and expects Marquez, who is a million dollar caliber fighter, to accept that he's going to lose 3/4 of a million dollars, for what? Beristain was right to do what he did and it is what I would do for someone I loved and had protected throughout their lives.

Of course, Morales is all Arum cared for for years. The reason why Arum put the Marquez's on ice is because they wouldn't accept his ****. They are loyal to Beristain and each other in a way that a "businessman" like Arum could not possibly fathom and would not want to deal with because he couldn't break it down and manipulate it in order to have them do what he wants.

If that was Manny Pacquiao and his promoter was bilking him for half his end, everyone would have told him not to accept the fight under those terms.
why the hell should Marquez get the same amount as Pacquiao? that's absurd

Marquez is insane if he thinks he ever deserves as much as Pacquiao and he is ludicrous if he thinks he deserves half of what Morales makes for a fight. He has done nothing to make those kinds of demands.

What has Marquez done to deserve so much money?
His biggest win was a draw with Pacquaio.
Not only that, who else has he fought that anybody should even give a **** about?

If you were guaranteed 1.5 from your promoter to only get 750k, wouldn't you look at your promoter in another way and be pissed?

It doesn't matter wether you guys think he deserves the money or not.

What matters is this. If you were in the same position and you were being told that you're making a certain amount, yet because your boss wanted money, that you were only going to get half of the amount if that, what would you do?

This was about Marquez's camp being upset with Arum than Marquez out pricing himself.

JMM not granting Pacquiao a rematch, after a controversial draw, naturally makes people believe he ran from Pacquiao.

                      Simple logic.

I have no problems with the filipinos here and I don't dislike Manny.

But, I'm getting a bit tired of seeing some of the filipinos constantly talk **** about mexican fighters and always coming up with some lame joke/insult/tirade against them.

What does that say about Manny if you refer to his opponents as "cowardly ***got bums"?
