    Simple logic.
Isn't this thread addressing why the rematch didn't take place?
Again, I understand that Manny is big to the filipinos because (maybe I'm wrong about this) there aren't any other boxers for them to act like this over.

However, to say that the guys Pacquiao beat are bums, ***gots, cowards, ectera..
While it may look like you're giving Pacquiao compliments and so on, you're really not.

You make it look like Pacquiao can only beat bums and that he isn't great because everyone he faced is a bum, a coward, or a ***got.

Before this article I heard that the initial offer was for a TOTAL purse of 1.5 Million so naturally $750,000 went to JMM and the other half to Pac. If JMM felt this wasn't enough to fight Pac then that is just ******. He made less than that in the 1st fight ($650,000) so it was a pay raise any way you look at it. When you combine this with the fact that he fought in Indonesia for $30,000 makes it look even more like a duck.

This article says different, that 1.5 was suppose to go towards each fighter.

I know...my opinion is that the article is wrong. Why would this all of the sudden be uncovered years after the fight was not made? Don't you think Berstain would have defended himself amid the incredible amount of criticism he was getting after the fight wasn't made. Look Bob Arum is shady, but he isn't that shady. Rahman says he has delivered on every single one of his promises. And also the contention that only Erik Morales got attention is just wrong. Remember when all this went down Arum had other big fighters (ie. Mayweather)

I have always felt that Marquez turned down the rematch because of pride since day 1.I thought he expected a million atleast which was well worth it.What I didnt know was the Arum was being so greedy.I have read so many ****** things from the pinoys that I dont even pay attention them anymore.

Just didnt make sense for JMM to not fight a guy who aside from the 1st round figured out so well in the first fight. The fight would have picked up right where it left off.

i dont think money was the reason why marquez turned down the rematch. he went for chris john for a measely priced fight whereas he could have earned alot vs pac. had he won against chris john... it would be nothing. had he won against pac... it would have been everything.

Marquez fought Victor Polo after Pacquiao you dumb **** and Marquez went to fight John so he could get the belt they striped off him, so this crap about Marquez rather choosing to fight John instead of Pac is bull****.
