Later he had no interest, Ward was no draw, and GGG was making millions at his own division. GGG made in 1 fight with Canelo more than Ward did in his whole career.

Sanchez talked about that 164 CW, the truth is that they had no interest in Ward at that point. They had already grew as a big name and were in line to make dozens of millions fighting for the MW undisputed title. There was no sense in going to 168 to make 2M fighting Ward and you know it.

Ward says he will fight anyone...then says he wouldn't find GGG until GGG builds up his name lol...that basically affirms GGG's statement that GGG was ready for the fight in 2013, and Ward didn't want it...call it ducking, call it whatever you want, but it is what it is.

Yes good point Maxi...also HBO offered the fight in that meeting (reportedly)...GGG accepted the offer, Ward did not...whether it was for a build up situation straightaway, or they only offered that solution once Ward said no to the 'fight now' plan I'm not sure.

My guess is HBO wanted to build it up anyway...and GGG was ready to do whatever...he had less bargaining power then than Ward did, and a loss to Ward at that time wouldn't have greatly killed GGG's career - could have just hyped it as losing to a great bigger man...it seems Ward didn't want to go that route and mentioned the shoulder and promoter issues as outs for him.

As Ward himself said here in January 2013:

Just to add. In the account your referred to Golovkin mentioned that Ward claimed to have shoulder problems and issues with his promoter during that meeting. Both the shoulder and promoter issue were in play in 2013. Like you pointed out both Ward and HBO did not dispute Golovkin's account of the meeting.
