Why do some forget that GGG accepted the Ward fight in 2013?

    Hell yeah (bold)

When a person says they didn't perform well by stating a factual excuse, I still see it as an excuse. No one wants to hear that shlt, pity seeking MFers

But the meeting reportedly happened, and the narrative that GGG put out about the meeting more or less makes sense, and is the only narrative about the meeting that is out there, so I phrased it that way...I don't say 'facts' when something can't be 100% verified, which is what a fact is.

Ward btw never has even acknowledged the meeting...someone should ask him about it...though to be fair, Ward is not the most trustworthy guy so I wouldn't take that too seriously...and I'm not talking about minor stuff that could go either way (154-168)...I'm talking about stuff like saying getting dropped by Kov was the first time it happened in his pro career, and then getting upset when Max corrected him that Boone dropped him earlier on.

You guys can pick sides all you want to based on arbitrary factors, that's what fans do...I won't get in the way of you fellas doing that...have fun, be fans...I just keep it real with what I see and if you need any further education on why I phrase things the way I do, feel free to shoot me a message...the professor is here and class is in session ...happy to help you fellas learn a bit.
You can’t keep it real with hearsay, that’s called assuming. You believe what GGG says, you don’t believe what ward says. That’s fine, but call a spade a spade. Don’t call others “fans” when you’re plainly picking sides.

Actually there is no report of what ward said because either no one asked him (because no reporter thought it important enough to ask in the several interviews he’s had on the topic), or the meeting could have been a farce.

Either way it’s nice to debate but i have ward as simply a higher pedigree fighter than ggg and their fantasy fight as just that.

Ha ha well we all got our own way of looking at the world I guess.

I'm one of those dudes spends too much time trying to find the explanations for everything then sitting on the fence for ever cos it turns out everything got a reason.

When an explanation/excuse doesn't solve a problem, what's the use ? In my eyes, that person is just compounding the L.

Tell your team in the privacy of training camp what went wrong.

              ''Why did you lose ?''
''Other guy was the better man.'' as I'm walking away

I'd give the worst post fight interviews.

                I agree...that’s how I interpreted it.

Well in that, yeah, I ain't interested in particularly hearing a fighter explain away why a fight didn't go his way... if you step between the ropes with a poorly toe or a few sniffles then it's your choice way I see it. Few fighters ever come out absolutely 100% or have the luxury of a perfect camp cos that's life.

I was still more thinking about stuff like why some of these high level ammys stay in the amateur game so long and how a late start in the pros impacts on their careers and stuff though, but in the end I guess, it is what it is... at least now it's kinda been recognised by most of the major promoters that many of 'em can be kinda fast tracked and brought up to title level relatively quickly.
