Why do some forget that GGG accepted the Ward fight in 2013?

And Ward never denied such a meeting took place.

This was understandable for GGG back then because he's looking for fights.
A year later fights started to come his way and the potential to get the
    Cotto/Canelo winner.
So this is not hard to understand.
But clowns keep changing the tune.

And even if he didn't want Ward any more what's the big deal?
He's not on his division and Ward himself admitted not being able to make 168 anymore.

So Glovkin ducked Ward. Who TF cares?

Seriously..stop beating on a dead horse...ward didn't want to fight adonis stevenson at 168 & 175 instead he went for edwin the goat Rodriguez. Then he got hurt and had legal issues with goosen. Ggg was used to promote his inactive career

He adapted??? Gtfoh! He fought one way the entire fight and got beat the fook up! Lol, nice plan A, B, C and D

Golovkin was a nobody in 2013. It's like Teixeira saying he wants to fight Canelo.

He didn't say anything about Ward being 'too big a challenge', man. He says the question is too much for him to think about right now, he gives almost the exact same answer to another question shortly afterwards in the video, something about his next opponent or the action in a fight or something - the sound quality is fkn terrible but his answer is very similar to the answer he gives to the Ward question which makes me think his meaning (which he clarifies a little more second time around) is the same. 1:33 - 'right now before fight, I can't I can't, too much, you know.... my focus right now is...'.

It's weird though, Golovkin's English is so fkn terrible that it's funny to see folk so damn sure of his meaning when it's often far from clear he even understands what he's being asked. I ain't even sure myself what he means half the time, and I've had a fair bit of experience deciphering the garbled English of Central and Eastern Europeans. Anyways I can't say for sure, but that's what it sounds like to me, although it does kinda look like he ain't really happy about being asked about Ward

That's very much my reading cos he answers another question shortly afterwards in a very similar way, but it's clear what he's getting at is that he simply doesn't want to think about the question at that time, saying that he's focused on the his upcoming fight... very much like someone with better English might say 'I'm not thinking about that right now, I'm just focused on my next opponent' when asked about future fights.

His English is so poor it's possible to interpret it more than one way if you just take the Ward question out of context but watching the full clip I definitely think he's just saying he doesn't want to think about it.

That’s kinda what I got out of it...he just didn’t want to talk about ward. He moved on pretty quick.

I know you don't like GGG...but not sure what your post has to do with any of this...it doesn't really make sense man.

HBO had them both and sat them down and wanted the fight...GGG wanted it and Ward didn't at that time...people can spin whatever they want but that is reportedly what happened.

Lol...the only round where you could say GGG was 'backing up' in those 2 fights was round 5 in fight 2...and GGG won that round clearly...landed the best shots of the round and a lot more shots.

Ward was never a 'back you up' type of fighter anyway...that fight would have always been GGG trying to walk Ward down and Ward trying to hold the ring and out-maneuver GGG and beat him with the dark arts.

Doesn't make sense? Golovkin was a nobody from a division below. Ward had won the super 6 and had just beat a P4P fighter in Dawson. Ward could have literally fought anyone and made as much as fighting Golovkin, why would he even bother, he'd have just got ridiculed for fighting a nobody smaller fighter.
