Strong source says Charlo wanted 20mil for Canelo fight

Jacobs got 10m from what I've read, not 15m..... Charlo should not have turned it down. I've seen enough to know that you're going to support every decision made by a PBC fighter no matter how dumb it is, at the end of the day it's Charlo's loss.Jermall Charlo has a bigger fan base than Danny Jacobs and more people have watched Jermall Charlo fight than have watched Danny Jacobs fight. By any reasonable metric, Charlo is the more recognizable name.
All of those PPVs flopped. I would argue that Kovalev has more name recognition than Charlo, but at this point in his career, Kovalev brings less to the table than Charlo does.
If nobody cared about it, we wouldn't have so many threads about Charlo. Golden Boy and Matchroom wouldn't be making large offers to Charlo. Charlo wouldn't be such a hot topic of conversation.
Okay, well Jacobs got 15. Charlo was offered 10. So we're in agreement Charlo shouldn't take less than 15.
And really you're using threads made on NSB as a measure for what the general public interest will be? Jheeze

golovkin didnt have a ton of options either...i mean....lets be real...what would golovkins resume look like without canelo on it?
but yes canelo was forced into fighting him via media pressure....but thats because HBO was pushing him hard and marketing him as a killer
i agree charlo doesnt have the hype golovkin did....but it appears there is some demand for him if hes being offered andrade and canelo fights by two different promoters right? unless those offers are just more of a smoke screen like alot of public offers are....Comment

Canelo Alvarez is planning to follow his May 4 three-belt middleweight unification bout against Daniel Jacobs in Las Vegas with a trilogy fight against Gennady Golovkin in September, Alvarez’s trainer, Eddy Reynoso, told The Times.
Sources familiar with the deal have indicated that Jacobs stands to collect as much as $15 million for the Alvarez fightComment

Things are getting worse.
Espinoza of course would be required to overpay Charlo again in his next fight.
Just to show he's really making that much.
Showtime boxing will close shop eventually.
Deals don't make sense for a 250K ratings guy.Comment
