If you're trying to get one of PBC's A-sides to cross the street and sell his 0, you have to pay a premium for that. $10 million is a ridiculous offer. Kovalev got $12 million, had lost several recent fights, and wasn't one of the big PBC or ESPN stars.
    What the actual ***.

LooL I can't recall laughing so hard at a post in such a long time, being an undefeated fighter means diddly squat if you're not a recognisable name. Charlo is a PBC fighter but he is not a star by any stretch of the imagination.

The resume actually does matter because if you have a good resume then chances are that you've been in fights that fans know about, Jacobs had at least been on PPV with Golovkin, Kovalev had been on PPV with Ward twice and had controversial endings in both fights, plus he was the bigger man with a belt in a division that Canelo had not competed in so there was a chance for a "special" achievement. A lot of people would have eaten up the that narrative and paid to see it.

Charlo does not bring anything to the table other than an 0 that nobody really cares about, I'm not saying he deserves less than Jacobs and Kovalev but he definitely doesn't deserve more and the reasons you listed were terrible.

I'm wondering if the people advising Charlo are high on the same stuff as you cause that's the only reason why I can imagine them thinking they'd have the leverage to turn down 10 or 12m and ask for 15/20m. Assuming that's what happened..... I still hope that's not the story here cause it's a bad look for Charlo and no amount of shilling for PBC can stop people from seeing that.

How come Floyd never had this problem??? Outside PAC and maybe Cotto I don’t recall him paying anyone over $5 million???

This is all on Oscar when he caved in and gave ggg 45%.

They started at 35% then Oscar said it’s take it or leave it at 42.5% and then he folded and gave 45%.

Now everyone knows they can gamble with Oscar.

Weak source but if it holds true Charlo is not worth 12 million regardless.

10 would prob do it for me...but i could see where charlo would at least want as much as jacobs....or at least the extra 2 mil for crossing over to fight on DAZN

if they offered less than what jacobs got i think golden boy was trying to kill the fight....i think you know going in they arent going to take less than jacobs

yes jacobs has done more in the ring...but charlos name rings just as much as jacobs
Charlos career is gonna be dry then im a charlo fan . i always felt he gives canelo problems . however hes the b side to this . the guy has no leverage. Canelo won't fight him until charlo agrees to those terms

Lmao at the comparisons between Jacobs and Charlo.

Canelo-Jacobs was the most anticipated fight of the year.

Ain't nobody anticipating Charlo – not even his 200k viewers.

Remember: this is business and you get what you bring.
