Especially when Joe has his head tuned the other way.

does he have videos? i watched the fight(many times) and saw pac landing the head snapping shots while floyds punches werent landing very clean for the most part. it never changes either. floyd doesnt suddenly start landing the clean work. i just cant see 7 rounds where floyd landed the better punches. its just not there. 5 maybe, 6 generously maybe. 7 no. go watch round 3 for example and see who is landing the clean work. then go see what compubox and the judges had to say about that round. you can start there. if 1 round is wrong then its possible others are too right? that was an easy pac round where he landed at least 5-6 head snapping/body shots while floyd landed maybe 2 mediocre quality jabs. the rest were blocked or didnt land clean at all. yet the judges said floyd won it. yet compubox said he landed 11 clean power shots when he landed zero. im assuming compubox is supposed to count clean shots right? if a punch hits mostly glove/shoulder thats a land? shouldnt we reward the guy doing the clean work? i mean it says clean punching right there in the rules.

some more notes from round 3. just reviewed it in real time and slow motion.

counted 8 clean shots for pac. 1 left hand to the chin, 3 body shots, and 4 right hand jabs or jab/hooks.

counted 2 clean jabs for floyd. zero clean power shots. another jab might have tickled pacs nose but certainly not a clean shot.

miscellaneous notes: floyd throws 3 right hands that people might think land but don't. one flies over pacs shoulder. its possible his glove might have touched pacs head ever so slightly? but certainly not a clean punch by any means. another time pacs glove/forearm blocks the punch or at least the vast majorty of the force of the punch. certainly not a clean punch. another time pac has his gloves up to block the punch but the camera obscures our view so we will never know if it landed clean but certainly can't count it as clean if we dont see it.

more notes: at one point floyd grabs pac in a headlock and seems to land a right to the body while he has pac in a headlock. obviously holding and hitting is not legal and this cant be counted as a clean punch. pac also flails and seems to hit floyd with some lil punches while he's in the headlock but didnt count that as it seemed too pathetic.

more notes: not really into the whole body language thing but after the round ends pac is pumped smiling while ****ing his gloves together knowing(or thinking) he just dominated the round. floyd meanwhile walks slowly back to his corner head down dejected knowing(or thinking) he lost the round.

            better punches: pac
            more punches: pac
best punch of the round? a pac right-left combo that spins floyds head around
control of the center of the ring: pac
spoiling/fouling(this is a bad category): floyd

seems like an open and shut pac round for me. not even one of the harder rounds in the fight to score...lets see what the judges say...

all 3 judges: floyd, floyd, floyd

Floyd landed clean pitty pat punches against pacs gloves that's about it.
Floyd was hard to hit that's about it. Whenever he fought anyone any good h e was the one bullied around ring

He's weird because he could flurry like no one else too but he was naturally a very complete fighter. Him and Mayweather deservedly go down as some of the most versatile fighters in the ring ever.

Lara was really sharp too with his 1-2 combo, but he was never consistent. Op is right, it is a lost art in this sport today. These guys just load up on every punches nowadays and you can see their punches coming from a mile away.

Still as sharp as ever with his punching technique and placement.
